Beautiful places! Poorly organized.

This trip was not organized well at all. We were taken to the ferry where we were dropped off with a literal horde of people. We had to make our way on the ferry by ourselves with no established group. The ferry ride was comfortable once we found our seats. It was a 2 hour trip. When we arrived, we had to find the number of our bus on the ticket and search the parking lot for the bus. They tour guide was informative. When we got to Oia, we were told we had 1 1/2 hours. By the time we found a bathroom amongst the summer crowds, it was 1 hour. Oia was beautiful!!!! Yet, again, we had to find our way around by ourselves with a small amount of time. I would highly recommend not to go in July - so crowded! We were then taken to Fira, the capital. The tour guide recommended a yummy restaurant. It is Mama’s Kitchen and it was wonderful! Highly recommend. We enjoyed Fira and the overlooks. Wish we had more time! The ferry was confusing and , again, hordes of people trying to get on. So it was beautiful! But the travel and lack of organization made it rough.
