The Cretan wine tasting at the Medousa restaurant exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed by a staff member, who then guided us through the 1.5-hour wine tasting. During this, we learned about three white wines and one rosé wine from different regions of Crete, which gave us insight into the diversity of local viticulture: dry, fruity, fresh, and elegant wines, including a white wine made from red grapes and a full-bodied rosé from one of the oldest grape varieties in Crete. The meze served with the wines also surprised us. We were served exceptional, tasty bites, artfully arranged in decorative bowls or on marble. A true delight for the eyes and palate. The wine tasting was a small culinary journey through the world of Cretan delights. Many thanks to the Medousa team for this wonderful experience, which we will remember for a long time. We learned a lot and had a great time.
