We just left the farm! This is a phenomenal experience, we felt welcomed into their home. The tour of the farm was great, followed by a fantastic cooking class that allowed us to pick our dishes we got to make. It was really a special experience made even more special by our host. It’s a true family affair.

A favorite experience of our week in Greece! Sevi was so knowledgeable and fun, and she and her family were so warm and welcoming. The farm was only about 20-30 minutes from Heraklion. The experience was a fun mix of learning, cooking, exploring, eating and relaxing. We had family members from 9 to 77 years old, and everyone enjoyed it!

We had the best experience in this professionally taught class, and highly recommend this to all! We began by visiting the farm and seeing and feeding goats and a donkey. We collected warm, fresh eggs that were just laid by the chickens! We picked herbs to use in our meal. Our friendly and hospitable chef Sévi served us wonderful homemade appetizers, while describing the delectable choices of each portion of the meal, and selecting our favorites to prepare from the menu was tough. The time on task was both thoroughly enjoyable and perfectly timed. It was a special treat making her mom’s dessert under her tutelage. The meal was absolutely delicious, and we loved eating on the patio while enjoying the spectacular view!

Sevi and her mom were absolutely wonderful. It felt like coming over to a friends house and helping with lunch. The orchard and taverna are absolutely stunning. I would have spent my whole trip here if they would let me stay. On top of the dishes being seasonal, Sevi will provide you recipes for all the dishes they offer year round. I could not recommend this experience more!

We had a wonderful time at Baxes, it was our favorite activity that we did during our vacation throughout Greece. I would absolutely recommend this experience and would love to do it again when I return to Crete in the future. As a group, we were able to pick out which dishes we wanted to make - I appreciated how we were walked through each step of the process. The food and wine was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful, plus the family is very sweet and helpful in teaching you how to cook each dish. If you want to learn basic traditional delicious dishes, tutored by the nicest people in Greece in a stunning Tuscony-of-Greece scenery - that is deifinitely the place. Incredible visit to a farm hosted by amazing people! We were greeted with snacks and drinks, taking grapes from the grapevines, before being able to meet the animals, followed by the cooking class. Highlight of our Cretan experience!

Sevi was an amazing host! Atmosphere and location is surreal and immensely peaceful! Sevi figured out how to engage our hyperactive 3 young children so well and the food was so delicious! This is a not to be missed experience in Crete. Sevi our host and her parents are delightful.. We milked a goat, picked vegetables from the garden and proceeded to make a gourmet Greek dinner like none ever. You get to choose what you want to cook as well. It was a magical event. I highly recommend this tour if you have time. The venue is like Greek Tuscany. You see vineyards and olive trees everywhere.

We had a wonderful time with Sebasti. Her family and Baxes are wonderful hosts. Seeing all the animals and plants around you can’t help having a smile the whole time especially with the Donkey and Goose.
You’re able to pick what you want to make and so it appeals to everyone and all the food is good. You are even given the recipes to try at home too. The recipes are well paced and straightforward and not at all frustrating. There is plenty of food and drink for all and I promise you will leave happy and full…filled. Definitely worth it.

During our short visit in Heraklion we decided to learn more about the traditions and the local cusine of the beautiful island of Crete. We randomly selected the cooking lessons in Heraklion and we couldn't be happier with our choice. We didn't just cook and eat the tradiotional cretan dishes (tzatziki, Gemista and ntolmadakia, Loukoumades) we made from the fresh ingredients we picked ourselves, but also we visited the family's farm and fed the animals. Additionally, all the hosts and especially Sevi were great and made sure that we had a goodtime, while we were there. We highly recommend this experience!!!!!!

I can't recommend this experience enough. The food is very homey and made with love . Our hosts were amazing,the scenery is wonderful. We cooked under the grapevines. We visited the farm,we feed the animals ,it was so much fun in one day! When we visit Crete again it will be our first stop!

Sevi and her mom were incredibly sweet and phenomenal hosts/teachers! We thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality and the delicious food they taught us to prepare. My favorite dish was definitely the dessert cheese pies- mouthwatering! Also, before cooking we got to harvest our own fruits/veggies and feed the adorable goats. We have attended many cooking classes, but this one was by far the best! Sevi was a fantastic hostess – warm, well organised and with a real passion for cooking. We especially loved the fact that we were allowed to decide for ourselves what to cook. This has made the course very personal and individual.
The ingredients were all fresh and high quality, and the food was just delicious. The atmosphere was also great – a colorful, friendly round with great people, in which you immediately felt comfortable.
A big plus was that the children were thought of: They had enough space to play and could even feed goats – a real highlight for the little ones!
