Wonderful host…and tour

Our tour guide, Aggeliki (Angie) met us promptly at the port. We toured the Chania (pronounced hon-ya) countryside followed by Kanakis Olive Mill. Antonis, the 3rd generation proprietor of the mill gave a personalized tour of his production facility followed a wonderful tasting. We even got to taste his personal production of Raki…delicious…and dangerous!!! Angie followed the olive oil tour with time to walk the markets in Chania. The town is beautiful small village with bustling lively atmosphere of vendors and musicians. I think we all bought some leather goods. We finished with a visit to a small village where we had a very traditional Cretan lunch. The meal was delicious. And OMG…we were stuffed!!! Angie was an absolute delight. This tour might have been the highlight of our trip if only for the tour guide!!! We highly recommend this tour and Angie!!!
