Itinerary

Get ready for a bright and early departure at 7:30am from your Chengdu hotel. Your private guide will meet you there, and you'll hop into a waiting transfer vehicle bound for the train station. Ticket in hand, catch the fast train to Leshan, arriving in under an hour.

Transfer to the Leshan Grand Buddha, dating from the Tang Dynasty in 803 AD. Standing 233 feet (71 meters) tall and carved into a rock face, the statue forms part of the UNESCO-listed Mount Emei Scenic Area. Scale the staircase leading to the Buddha for impressive views and photo ops, then continue on to your next destination: Luocheng Ancient Town.

When you arrive, take some time exploring the 17th-century town with your dedicated guide. The town was built in the shape of a boat and is well-known for its architecture, food, and photo-worthy scenery.

Return to Chengdu the way you came, via transfer and fast train. You'll arrive around 5:30pm back at your hotel.
