My advice to the tour operator would be to put the word PRIVATE on the tour. The description and photos lead you to believe it is a shared activity. Not worth the money.

An hour learning basic Salsa steps in Crazy Salsa’s lovely air conditioned dance studios in Getsemani, a quick mojito made by our dance instructor (clearly a better dance instructor than bar man 😜) followed by short walk down the road to first bar Tertulia where we inflicted our moves on the clientele and had a drink, then onto the world famous Havana cafe for some more dancing. There is a small entrance cover charge but the atmosphere and energy in there is unmissable. Our instructor (sorry forgot his name) was wonderful and attentive throughout, danced with each of the ladies in turn and made every one of them look good on the dance floor. Highly recommended.

There were no instructions when I showed up. The activities were planned way to early, when we went to the bars, clubs there was no one there.

It should be removed. The bars are not crowded at 8pm. There was no one to dance with besides the instructor. I danced one time. Experience was boring. It is very beginner friendly but I have experience. I didn't bother going to the second club because I knew it was going to be light there as well. Instructor was nice though. But there's not enough participants to do a salsa tour. 45 dollars down the drain. Not worth it.

This was one of the best salsa nights I've ever experienced! The lesson was for beginners but I'm more intermediate level, however, it was still fun. Our first bar was a little on the quiet side, no dancing. But once we all expressed to Esteban we wanted to go somewhere were it's dancing everywhere and he showed up! He took us to Cafe Havana and we danced ALL night! Esteban is the best tour guide, he has the best energy and is the friendliest person to hang out with. Highly recommend for anyone who is seeking the best Salsa Night of your Life!!

Esteban was very friendly and so helpful! We had trouble finding the right address, and he was very gracious with us though we were late. He pointed out great other clubs for us to try after the tour.

Ruben is a Cartagena GEM! I booked this salsa dancing experience for me and my sisters. We range from absolutely no experience to a year of salsa dancing and Ruben (the instructor) is not only a GREAT dancer but an AMAZING teacher. He made it fun, light, and informative. From learning the basics, keeping frame, and executing turns, Ruben kept the class engaged with his teaching skills, humor, and energy. If you want to learn or brush up on your basics - before hitting the clubs - take the hour class. I would recommend the full 3 hour experience for anyone that wants 1:1 with an experienced instructor or if you have a salsa group looking for some pointers. Ruben was polite and especially accommodating when I wanted to learn the Cali style and when my sister said she likes bachata better. We had so much fun and you will too! 💃

I don't regret doing it, as it was a way to get to dance Salsa as I'm usually to embarrassed to try. But price is way to high for what it is. You get less than 10 Euros worth of drinks and 1 hour of class. 45 Euros for Colombia for this is just way to much. When we arrived they were confused and it seemed like they didn't know they had reservations. The class was great - I learned a lot, so no criticism here. The bars we went to were all empty. Of course it was on a Wednesday, but I think there should be the information that during the week the bars might be empty and that they recommend to do the tour on the weekend. The city in general was very lively so I don't know if there wouldn't had been other options with more ambiente. The instructor is not the same person as the one who goes to the bars with you, which was also a bit odd. O think it would be better if it was the same person, as than he already knows which level you have. Both were nice though. All in all, if you don't know what to do in the evening and you're by yourself and want to practice Salsa and don't care about money - Do it. If you have a better option, better go for that one IMO.

Had to give one because i couldnt give 0. Instructor was good but awful management and planning. I was the only one booked and they didnt tell me before hand. My intention was to know more ppl so I asked them to cancel if it's just me and they were like no way. Who would dance salsa alone?! Also, in total 3 hours of dance class l learned 3 moves. Took me to nearby clubs as salsa tour( which r mostly ghost clubs) I highly recommend not to waste ur money on someone who don't care about your experience. Don't at all go if u r looking to socialise or wanna learn salsa. I even told them that I may end up giving bad review if I don't like and they didnt even care. So🤷🏻♂️

We took part as a couple and were the only ones in the class and tour which was great in terms of 1-1 tutorial. Natalia was a good teacher and her instructions helped us pick things up quickly. We were given quite a few complimentary drinks which was a nice even though we weren’t there to drink alcohol, it definitely helped warm us up though.
The tour part was two salsa clubs. The first one was small and great for practising our moves. There was only a couple of other people in there but because the venue was small it didn’t feel too awkward. The second venue was a bit bigger and so when busier this would have been better but to be honest we were pretty self conscious so might have been for the best, as after the two venues we made our own way to cafe havana which did have the bustle and energy we were craving. Overall a really nice evening.

Our salsa tour was a blast! Kevin, our instructor, did a great job tailoring the lesson to our level since we had already taken some salsa lessons in the past. We were then able to go out together and practice our skills at some local salsa bars. Kevin also showed us some fun areas of the city to go out and enjoy the rest of our evening.

We booked the salsa course with expectation to be with different people in a group. Turned out, that just me and my friend are the only participants. As two females we got other 2 female teachers. Which is unfortunately not authentic at all. We were not informed in advance, that we will be the only once. As we canceled we just got 50% of the money back. Sad that they offer such kind of unorganized event!

You decided not to take the tour before starting it just because the instructor was female (isn’t this a type of discrimination?). There is no refund in this type of situation and even though I granted you 50% refund because we prefer to keep our good energy around, we look out for our instructors and you were really rude to everyone. If you would have taken a private tour, we could have tailor made it for you.
This is an open tour and was starting right in time, everything was on schedule, you can not say it was unorganized, neither you have authority to rate services you didn’t even take.
Hope your trip gets better, and maybe one day you will get to really know our services and great team of instructors, both males and females.

I went on a tour with a young lady who complained about how tired she was from dancing all day!! It was the instructor!! Isn't that the job YOU chose! This was my second salsa tour in the same week, but different energy. She stopped to have conversations with friends along the way, as we went to two bars; the second bar there was no dancing, just men sitting in chairs...no women, so I said my goodbyes...

I apologize if you got that feeling from the instructor, I guess, after your first salsa tour with us, you had a point of comparison and different expectations. I remember that day was crazy fun!
While talking to the instructor in charge of this tour, she mentioned that the other customers were asking about her day (if it was busy) and she mentioned that she was indeed working a lot, since the last week of the year is one of the busiest one for our industry.
We believe the great time comes with the energy you bring to any place, that is why each tour will be slightly different taking into account other factors like tour companions, nightlife behavior, etc. There was a lot of dancing in the second bar and your tour companions were even interacting with the other people at that bar. You just did not give it a chance and left at your first impression.
The instructor also mentioned that there were other customers that were taking classes at the school that very same day, and of course she said hello to them and encoraged them to keep dancing, as she would have done even with you if she found you casually on the street after your tour.
All our team is commited to share their passion for dancing, even if they are a bit tired, they will always give their best. Never regret being dancers neither dance instructors. Nevertheless, we have socialized your feedback and will try to address future situations to avoid giving this type of impression to our customers.

There were two male teacher who were very knowledgeable; the lesson was fun, and I met new people. The salsa tour, was awesome! We went dancing and our drinks were included! We went to about three places, and dance all night!!

We had an amazing time doing this Salsa tour! It was just my boyfriend and I in the salsa class, which was great! We got one on one time with our adorable and energetic instructor Esteban! With his help we were dancing to the tunes of salsa music in no time! After our class, we headed out to experience the nightlife in various neighborhoods in Cartagena! He was with us every step of the way, provided us with dance tips, food recommendations, and much more! At every stop we got complimentary drinks and got to practice our dance skills! Definitely recommend this tour for couples, groups of friends, even for solo travelers! It is a safe way to venture out and explore the nightlife! I recommend Esteban for as your dance instructor and tour guide! Cheers!

Awesome experience, friendly and easy to follow instructors, and fun time bar hopping and dancing around Getsemani. Wear comfortable shoes and the studio is air conditioned which was a nice break from the super hot day.

Great teachers! We learned many steps and danced to different tempos of music. After learning the steps, we put what we had learned to the test at various restaurants where dancing was a must. Esmeralda was very nice. We recommend this for anyone wanting to learn Salsa.

The person running the class never got back to us. We received an email saying that we were meeting on the third floor of a school building. No one was there at that time (8:30pm). Do not book this class!!!!!

My fiancé and I had a blast. We always wanted to take a class and our instructor made sure we had an amazing time. Ruben took his time and showed a great time at each spot we went too. I would take a class again when I return to Cartagena.
