A true cultural immersion in Cartagena

Our guide Daniella was enthusiastic, friendly, and well prepared. This tour was truely immersive: using a public transportation, tasting local fruits, meeting local vendors in the market. Bazuro market is so huge that unless you have a guide or speak Spanish you may get lost. It was a very unique cultural experience.

Daniella was our guide and she was wonderful. She is well versed in the market and its history. Not to mention, she navigates the market like a pro! Many times I thought we were in a never ending cycle of stalls but she knew exactly where we were. This tour's main focus is the food but the market itself is a sampling of so much more the area has to offer from music and culture. Highly recommend. We sampled some native fruits as well as had a meal at Cecilia's.

What a fantastic way to experience life in Cartagena. We had such a great time getting behind the scenes of the basurero market and being welcomed into someone’s home to see how life really is. There is no better way to understand this city and the people but through food and this tour.
