The Aviary was very interesting but our guide knew Nothing about birds!

The guide was ontime, gave a little history of the city as we drove to the Aviary and then didn't say much after that. He didn't know anything about the birds we saw. The Aviary was beautiful but the tour wasn't great.

Worth it with pickup and guide

The Aviary is very nice. Many interesting species to see up close. And many birds are in the trees outside the cages for bona fide bird watching. However, the tour is far FAR overpriced. The driver made getting there, and back, easy. The guide was worse than useless. He incorrectly identified *every* bird for which he could not point to a sign. I knew we were effectively guideless when he claimed that both Great Egrets and White Ibises were "Herons". The path is easy to follow at the Aviary. Simply hire a car and driver and then self-guide your visit to the Aviary.

Excellent Trip and Guide

This trip was amazing. Jaime was an amazing guide and our driver was excellent. The one hour trip outside of Cartagena was worth it. The pink flamingos and so many other birds were wonderful to see. It was not crowded. We went in the morning so the heat was not bad. Jaime gave us a bonus with some special balconies in the Old Town afterward. Wonderful in every way.
