Pick-up is available at Puerto Morelos, please add the hotel name to the reservation, we will confirm the pickup time one day before tour day, and give a phone number where we can reach you by WhatsApp message. IMPORTANT: The port fee & whale shark natural protected area entrance are not included in the price, the price is USD 30 per person, these federal fees must be paid in cash at the port, bring cash there is no ATM in the port.

Could be perfect - but was good

This was a great excursion minus a few hidden costs and lack of preparation on the boat. When we arrived at the marina we were informed we had to wear a life jacket or rent a wetsuit. This was not explained up front. Highly recommend the wet suit if you are a decent swimmer, the jackets were cumbersome. Once out at the dive site, we didn’t have enough snorkels or fins that fit, and had to borrow from other boats. I think this should have been handled prior to our departure. Other than that, pick up, the staff, the whale sharks, hitting the beach after was great.

The experience was outstanding. Carlos picked me up on time; got us breakfast, gave us tips for seeing things and having fun (take dramamine!), and did his best to ensure everyone had a great time. he whale was incredible, and we were able to do two short swims (in groups of 3. two tourists and a guide) with the animal. After the swim, the trip to isla mujeres was bumpy, but the lunch was delicious and the short swim was very pleasant. The whole trip was beautiful, and though expensive, I'm really glad I did it.

The whale shark tour we took was a once in a lifetime experience! Went with the family (kids 7yo & 11yo) and we all loved it. Be prepared for a long boat ride (take Dramamine, sea bands) and have patience…it’s worth the wait! Our guide Carlos was kind, helpful, and informative. You can tell he loves nature and sharing it with others. Highly recommend this experience.
