The tour begins at Jardín Del Arte Cancun. From the Hotel Zone, take the R1 bus to Parque las Palapas. Cross the park, and behind the restaurant Las Pescadillas Las Palapas, you’ll find a small square, Jardín del Arte, with graffiti and murals. We’ll be waiting for you there.

John was our tour guide and we had a great time! He gives a thorough and engaging history of Cancún and Mexico through the street art and architecture of the city, as well as the background of different local artists. I’d recommend doing this tour early on your vacation, especially if you are staying in the hotel zone, as you will get a much more authentic view of Cancún as well as recommendations of where to eat authentic food and places to visit. Thank you John for a great morning :)

John was wonderful! Very informative about the area and history of Cancun. He had a unique perspective since he is an artist and photographer, and was able to give insight on the murals.

Unable to locate

We attempted to find our starting point without success. We hired a local taxi driver to bring us to the tour and he was not able to locate find the square. He attempted calling twice with no answer on the phone and asked various others for information. It is unfortunate that we were not able to enjoy your tour.

John was absolutely AWESOME! His knowledge of the different artists, murals and history of the city itself was impressive. We had a slight issue making it to the meeting spot with our taxi. So, John stayed with us after the tour to make sure we got on the correct bus back to our hotel.

We did the street art tour on our last day in Cancun with Luis. It was an amazing way to wander the streets and see the beautiful street art with the guidance of someone who understands. Luis was engaging and full of information about the art and Cancun in general. He was flexible and clearly passionate about the art. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Luis and learning and seeing amazing art around the city. It was definitely a highlight of our vacation.

My daughters & I had a great tour with John. He was both knowledgeable and passionate about his community. More than just a street art tour but a look and discussion about Cancun and its neighborhoods. I would do the tour again in a few years with John to see what is new in local wall art but also to talk about how Cancun is changing and hopefully becoming more than just a beach & sun tourist town,
