Decent Photoshoot but Not a History Tour

This tour is advertised as 4 hours long, but taking up to 6 hours in high-traffic conditions. In our case, it lasted 2.5 hours, including a visit to an extra souvenir shop. We felt the tour was poor value for money, especially since our guide was really struggling with English, and that limited how much he could share with us. While he and the driver were friendly, it felt like this tour was more of an easy-money scheme for them, than actually them being passionate about ancient Egyptian history. Bonus star for them bringing a couple of small water bottles and taking good photos.

Overall, the tour was great - we went to the Great Pyramid complex in Gizeh outside of Cairo and also to the Saqqarah oldest pyramid in the world (at an upgrade price) the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour!

Guide was very knowledgable and friendly a lovely lady. Only attempt the grand pyramid which costs around €14 per person if it’s not super busy as it’s one way in one out system and is pretty dangerous if it’s crowded. Got taken to a perfume store after where they try and sell you cheap rubbish for extortionate prices.

Worst tour guide in Egypt!

To start we were waiting to be picked up for almost an hour and half. Then, we proceed to the Giza plateau and we had to pay for our own entrance tickets because the credit card of the guide was not working (which by the way we will have to pay the credit card fees by ourselves). After that, we needed to wait for another 20 minutes for the guide since he didn't had a ticket to enter the plateau. Afterwards, the tour was horrible, the guide didn't explain a lot from the pyramids (actually he talked more about futebol than the pyramids). We were constantly being harassed by camel and photo guys and the guide seemed to be compliant with it all and leaving us in an awkward situation. From the entire Egypt tours, this was by far the worse!

If there were some minor flaws, I can only remember the amazing hours of this tour. Seeing the pyramids for the first time is something you will never forget. Jessi, the guide, was very helpful, cheerful and nice. A very pleasant company. She took so many pictures, and got the right angles. I also enjoyed the shops, the people I talked too. These memories are priceless.

The guide was great. Pickup was a few minutes late but the tour made up for it. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the pyramids and also knew the best spots and angles to get amazing pictures! I also got a sugarcane drink at the end of the tour which was refreshing. 10/10 experience for me!

We were picked up by a nice air conditioned car with a driver and Ranja, our guide. No standing in line at the entrance. She answered all our questions and explained lots about the pyramids and the Shpinx.

Wallid had great craic!! I had diarrhoea and boy was I hurting so on the way he even took me to the pharmacy and translated. Boy did it do the trick I was clogged up well and truely. I was then feeling ready for some education. And sweet neptune was it some education he was thorough but also didn't over do it. He even took my bag for me as I was feeling a little bit lazy and tired with the heat. My girlfriend can be a bit on the slower side and it seemed like he didn't mind having to repeat himself multiple times. All in all fantastic.

Scam,. The tour guide charged all 7 of us $10 dollars each for a takeway shawarma and a soft drink. Its all about making money and had the cheek to ask for a tip on top of what he profited. Total scam, do not book with them. In fact do it yourself, no guide.

The guide was great. Knowledgeable and great fun. The driver was friendly too. The only downside to the trip was that we were picked up over an hour later than arranged. As this was the day of our flight, it put us under extra time pressures which was unnecessary and caused stress for later. Aside from that, communication was great via WhatsApp with organisers before the trip. Thank you , a great experience with a trusted guide.

This was an amazing and worthwhile tour. Iraqi was our tour guide - a Phd Egyptologist and obviously very knowledgable in every aspect. He explained everything and answered all our questions. His driver was very helpful in picking up and dropping off as needed. We enjoyed every minute and learned so much. Iraqi also looked after us making sure we were not bothered by the locals trying to approach us to offer their services for tips. He knew we were not interested in purchasing anything or in camel rides and respected our wishes and did not suggest or push us in any way to change our minds. A wonderful tour and experience

Our guide Mohamed and driver Muhamed took great care of us and we enjoyed the tour. We had orginally booked to only do Giza pyramids and Sfinx, but we were able to do extend our tour to also do the Saqqara tombs and complex and we are happy with our decision. Visiting the pyramids of Giza was the opportunity of a lifetime! I would highly recommend going. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave plenty of history about the Giza complex. However, I wish we had spent more time there. The tour advertises 4 hours at the complex. But we must have spent 2 hours there. We spent 5 minutes at the Sphinx before we were taken to a papyrus shop, oil shop, clothes shop and a souvenir shop. None of which we had asked to go to. So, this was quite disappointing when we only wanted to go to the pyramids and sphinx, which felt rushed. I recommend the trip but insist that you do not want any added extras! Don’t accept the hard sell and make the most of the time at the pyramids.

We were picked up from our hotel on time and dropped off there afterwards. This was convenient. Our guide was friendly and personable. He knew good places to stand to take good photographs and he helped out by taking lots of photos of us. He did not give us much information about the history. He said that information was available on the internet which I suppose is true. I think we expected more on the day from our guide.

Total disappointing experience. Guide does not know anything about pyramids. Just reciting facts about pyramids (weight, high, number of blocks…). Was thinking I am more familiar with pyramids than she is. Basically it was overpaid drive. Do this trip on your own or use other agency.

Osama was a great tour guide. He was able to clear all our questions and doubts regarding the pyramids. He is well aware of the top places where photos can be clicked so that was an additional plus point. Overall the trip was a good one. Hamdi was an excellent guide for the Pyramids. His language skills are good, he is fun to be around, and he knows all the relevant history of the area. He also takes excellent photos!
