My guide Deen was amazing! Informative and funny. Went to Step Pyramids and the serrapeum fantastic tour, showed all the small tombs and explained the hieroglyphics and tomb paintings in detail. The Serrapeum was mind blowing and incredibly beautiful.

As a solo female traveller, Mr. Deen did a fantastic job making sure I was safe the entire time. He is very knowledgeable and was able to take me to tombs that tourists don’t normally go. 10/10 recommend, this tour has been the highlight of my trip to Egypt - worth every penny.

Underrated Saqqara

Not to be overlooked! This must be the first pyramid you see while in Egypt, as it is the oldest pyramid in Egypt. And our guide was phenomenal. So full of information and tips for traveling in Egypt.

Unforgettable Experience with the Best Driver and Guide in Egypt

This tour was perhaps the most interesting experience of my entire life. My Egyptologist guide, Deen, and expert driver, Faisal, were two of the finest people I met during my travels in Egypt. They are intelligent and funny and kind. They met me at my hotel in the morning. Faisal carefully drove us from site to site, making sure i felt safe and comfortable (and hydrated) the whole time. Deen took me inside each site and gave me a personal tour detailing exactly how the ancient Egyptians lived thousands of years ago. He also gave me plenty of time to explore and take photos on my own. He was always nearby enough to answer all my questions. Before visiting the Great Pyramids, i highly recommend taking this tour with Faisal and Deen. If you really want to experience and learn about Ancient Egyptian culture, this tour will show you where it all began. I will be thinking about it for the rest of my life.

I took this tour with Deen and Fisal, as a solo traveller. It was a great experience, so often when you’re the guides sole focus it can become intense. Deen sensed when it was the time I just wanted to look and not listen. When I was ready he moved on with his presentation with out missing a beat. I really appreciated this time to just take the site in. I came away from the experience with a greater understanding of its place in an amazing history. As for Fisal not only did he navigate the frenetic Cairo traffic but he makes a great Tea and even better coffee.. fair warning though, it may keep you awake 😀

We had a wonderful day being shown around the tombs in Saqqara by our guide Deen. If he is available we highly recommend him as a guide - Deen is very friendly, professional, punctual and knowledgeable. A fantastic site and you will see scenes, sculptures and colours you won’t see elsewhere. There were also less people than the other sites (April). The excavations are also revealing more and more secrets. Don’t miss it!

We had a great time on this tour with Deen as our guide, we got to see so many sites at Saqqara and I would definitely recommend this tour for those who want a more in depth tour of the area. We visited the step pyramid, pyramids of Unas and Teti, new kingdom tombs, old kingdom tombs and the serapeum. A really good value tour with a knowledgable and enthusiastic guide

I cannot recommend this tour enough, and if you are lucky to get Mr. Sam as your guide, you are in for a real treat. As a former history professor, he really brought everything we saw to life. He explained to us the meanings of the hieroglyphs, brought us to the most outstanding tombs, helped us avoid the crowds, took great pictures for us, and really made this a tour we will never forget. Moreover, his stories are easy to follow and understand, and keeps you very much captivated. Saqqara is one of the must see places when visiting Cairo, and seeing it with Mr. Sam is the absolute best way to do it.

This was an 1/2 day private tour, our guide offered to take us to a jewelry and papyrus store, which we opted to do which added a couple hours to the tour. The guide Osama Othman was very knowledgable, personable, caring and has a great sense of humor. He is one of the best tour guides I have experienced. It was our first day in Cairo, and a free day for us before beginning a 3 week guided tour throughout Egypt. We went into the Step pyramid, several temples, and the Serapeum all in the Saqqara complex. Do not miss the serapeum, a fascinating unsolved mystery as to how the sarcophagus got into the underground. Saqqara was our favorite pyramid area that we saw in Egypt. Once you book this tour, you can make changes to which items you see. I did not think I could handle the entrance to Merariku temple, so we substituted. They company is very easy to communicate with. I also will give a shout out to our driver, who was very skillful and kept us safe on the crazy roads Cairo and Giza. Highly recommend this tour.

This guide is very knowledgable, funny, knows where to get the best pictures and knows Saqqara. He is open-minded, fluent in English and willing to learn as well as explain. I really enjoyed his guidance and availability during all the visit. If you want to understand what Saqqara meant for Ancient Egypt from Dynasty I to Dynasty 30, you need to take this tour. Excellent experience , a lot of knowledge thanks to Sam, who really allow us to understand what we were seeing. The location is amazing, and get into a pyramid, see the paintings and all the ancient egyptian culture was wonderful. We travel with 3 kids and they love it. One of the best tours in Egypt.
