As an older Man you need to stretch before you ride on the camel…. For me it was not comfortable … but it was a different experience

Atv and camel experience

Kenneth_B, Jun 2026
Fun and enjoyable. We really had a great time doing this activity. Would recommend to anyone. Tour guide was really fun!

Fun but tricky

Kim_N, Jun 2026
The actual activities were amazing. The staff tries to nickel and dime you to death. There is a $25 per person entry fee and they don’t allow you to bring your phone under any circumstances. You have to lock it up in the lockers. I’m sure it’s to buy their pictures. They stop at the beach but you are not allowed to go near the water to dip your feet. Weird because it’s a public beach. The facility is beautiful.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Hi Kim, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you found the actual activities amazing and that you enjoyed our beautiful facility! We want to address your concerns so future guests understand the "why" behind our park rules. Regarding the $25 park fee, we strive to keep our base tour price as competitive as possible. To do this, certain operational park fees are handled separately at check-in, which is noted in the "What's Excluded" and "Important Information" sections on Viator before booking. Regarding cell phones, this strict policy is entirely for safety and animal welfare, not a sales tactic. Taking a phone out during a bumpy UTV ride is a distraction hazard, and dropping a phone while riding the camels can easily startle the animals. The lockers are provided to keep your belongings safe while you ride. While a third-party photography service is available, it is completely optional. Finally, regarding the beach: the Pacific side of Cabo is notorious for strong, unpredictable undertows and rogue waves. Even dipping your feet can be extremely dangerous. Our guides restrict access to the water's edge strictly for your absolute safety. We truly appreciate your visit and are glad that, overall, the adventure and the activities themselves were amazing. Best regards,

Desert on the beach

Crenese_P, May 2026
We had a wonderful experience with Cactus Tour company. We drove the UTV through a desert that’s on a beach. It was beautiful and very fun. The camel ride was really nice, we felt like royalty and our guide Juan was amazing. After all the fun we were able to taste several tequilas. I don’t drink but my husband tried 4 different ones.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Hi Crenese, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that your experience with our team was so memorable. The contrast of the desert meeting the ocean is truly one of the most beautiful sights here in Baja, and we are thrilled you had such a fun time exploring it on the UTV. Making you feel like royalty is exactly the experience we aim for on our camel rides! Juan is an incredible guide who genuinely loves sharing these amazing animals with our guests, and we will be sure to pass your kind words along to him. We are also glad your husband enjoyed the tequila tasting! It’s a wonderful way to relax and learn a bit about the local culture after an adventure-filled day, even if you are just there to enjoy the atmosphere and the great company. Thank you for choosing us for your adventure. We would be absolutely honored to welcome you both back for another beautiful day on the beach in the future! Warm regards,

tyramichele_F, Apr 2026
The excursion excursions was a blast. The Camel ride the utv and tequila tasting . Now even though you paid for the excursion when you get there, there will be a $25 park entrance fee which is noted and there will be a $45 insurance fee per vehicle. In the Notes, it says that you can opt out and do a hold on the credit card but the hold is $1000. So you’re forced to pay the $45 insurance. They will try to get you to book the private tour which for us came up to $58 a person that was included the insurance plus the $25 park entry fee. they say the private tour is better because you can take your stuff and you can take your own pictures but if you want to take group pictures, they won’t take any pictures for you. And the pictures that their photographer take you can buy at the end but the total package for the pictures is $225. . I wouldn’t say it’s a rip off but this excursion is about $200 after all fees

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Tyra, thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you had a blast on the camels and UTVs. We appreciate your comments regarding the additional fees and photo packages, as they help us better communicate our pricing structure to future guests. We value your visit.

Beware Scam and hidden fees

Briana_W, Apr 2026
This is a scam with hidden fees . We had to pay an additional hundred dollars when u arrive it’s so many fees it’s crazy . The tequila tasting is more talking barely tasting theyre gone give u 1/3 of a shot nothing more . Total disappointment. Photos were 100 dollars

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Briana, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are glad you had the chance to visit, though we’re sorry to hear the experience didn't meet your expectations. Regarding the costs, the $100 mentioned corresponds to the standard $25 park entrance fee for the 4 guests in your group; this is a mandatory fee for everyone entering the reserve and is noted in the tour description, the booking confirmation, and at check-in. We strive to be as transparent as possible so our guests can plan ahead, and we appreciate your comments as they help us keep improving our communication.

Thrills and interaction with camels.

Tom_B, Apr 2026
Recommend private tour. Small group, the guide very attentive. You can take your own cell phones for your own photos. The photo package costs $140 plus tax. The place is immaculate. Food and beverages available for purchase. My teenage boys loved it.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Tom! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you so much for the recommendation! We are thrilled to hear your teenage boys had such a great time with the camels and UTVs. It’s great that you enjoyed the attentive service of our guides and took advantage of our 'cell phone friendly' policy for your own memories. We take great pride in keeping our facilities immaculate for our guests, and we’re glad it stood out to you. Hope to see you and your family back for another adventure soon! 🐪🌵🏁

Choose another option in Cabo

Rob_R, Apr 2026
Average experience, I’d suggest trying something else while in Cabo. Long ride out of Cabo for a very short experience. Big sign in the van on the way says “tips are expected”.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Rob, thank you for your feedback. We regret that the experience did not meet your expectations regarding the duration and the travel time. Our ranch is located in a protected natural reserve to offer authentic desert and ocean views away from the city's noise, which does require a longer drive. Regarding your comment about the signage, we appreciate you bringing it to our attention; while tips are a standard way to recognize our staff's hard work, we want our guests to feel comfortable and never pressured. We will review how this is communicated to ensure a better experience for future visitors.

See you for round three whenever you're back in Cabo! ❤️🐪🏁

ATV ride with MONSE!

Al_S, Mar 2026
We rode the camel for a bit in the sand. I think my wife would rather feed, water, and brush them. The highlight was the ATV ride with Monse as our guide. She was very skilled at maneuvering her 4 wheeler, leading us through the trails. She led us as fast as we were comfortable going. We had helmets, belts and our hand was strapped down for safety. It was not your typical slow-poke trail ride. Tequila tasting was very informative and our party went home with 4 bottles:). An articulate young man who spent some time in Ireland (can’t recall his name- possibly Erik?

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Al! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you so much for your review! We are thrilled to hear that Monse made your ATV ride the highlight of the day; she is indeed a skilled guide who knows how to adapt the pace so our guests feel the adrenaline while staying safe. It’s also great to know you enjoyed the tequila tasting with Erik (you got the name right!) and that you took a bit of Mexico back home with those 4 bottles. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with both of them. Hope to see you and your wife back at the ranch soon! 🌵🏁🥃

Camels and UTVs

Robyn_R, Mar 2026
Getting the private guide is well worth it. Emanuel was amazing! The bathrooms were very nice and clean.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Robyn! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you for your recommendation! We are so glad you found the private guide option well worth it; Emanuel will be thrilled to hear your kind words, as he always strives to provide an amazing and personalized experience. We also appreciate you noticing the cleanliness of our facilities, as we work hard to keep everything immaculate for our guests. Hope to see you back at the ranch for another adventure soon! 🐪🏁✨

Do This Again

BradleyRay_E, Mar 2026
This was such a perfect experience... Pictures along the beach were extremely sharp.. both on the beach and up high with the utv beach background From the people who helped us at the dock to the drivers and traveling to and from the excursion was fantastic

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Bradley! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you so much for your review! We are thrilled to hear that you had a perfect experience from start to finish. A memorable day!

Virginia_M, Feb 2026
Our family really enjoyed the tour! We were picked up right at the cruise terminal and it was maybe a 45 minute drive but bus was nice and cool. The park is absolutely stunning; truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve traveled. The facility was quite nice with fast food available and a small gift shop. I am very concerned with animal welfare and do my best to vet activities with this in mind. The animals appeared to be exceptionally cared for with plenty of space for them to roam. Photography is not allowed EXCEPT on private tours. We splurged on the private tour so we could capture our own memories, but even so it was not photo friendly at all and the photographer is invasively capturing photos at all times. It was too much for us but maybe some folks appreciate it.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Virginia! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review. We are honored to hear that our park is one of the most beautiful places you’ve traveled! We especially appreciate your comments on our animal welfare; we take the care of our camels very seriously and providing them with a spacious, healthy environment is our top priority. We're also glad the cruise terminal pickup was convenient for your family. Regarding the photography, we appreciate your honest feedback. While our photographers aim to capture every special moment so guests don't have to worry about their devices, we understand that it can sometimes feel a bit much. We will share your comments with our photo team to find a better balance between capturing memories and respecting our guests' space. We hope to welcome your family back soon!

Martinez was our guide....

Rowena_P, Feb 2026
Martinez was our guide. He was friendly. UTV was fun, camel ride was fun, felt safe. Would recommend this activity

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Rowena! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you for your recommendation! We are so glad to hear that you had a great time with Martinez and that both the UTVs and the camel ride were a highlight of your trip. Our team works hard to ensure every guest feels safe while having maximum fun, so it’s wonderful to know we hit the mark. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to Martinez. Hope to see you back for more adventures soon! 🏁🐪✨

Money Grab

Antovise_C, Feb 2026
I had a very disappointing experience with Cactus Tour in Cabo. It felt like a complete money grab with hidden fees and unreasonable restrictions. My party had purchased tickets for the UTV and camel ride, but upon arrival, we were hit with a $25 separate entrance fee, and then told we had to either buy insurance for $45 or pay a $750 refundable deposit just to cover insurance. Additionally, we were not allowed to bring our phones—no pictures unless we paid an extra $180 for a private tour, which is ridiculous. We were told if we were caught with phones during the tour, it would be canceled immediately. After the tour, we were told we could buy the pictures from their photographer for $130. However, when we viewed the photos, the price had suddenly increased to $250, and we were told we had to buy the entire package; individual photos were not an option. Overall, the tour was overly costly, restrictive, and full of hidden fees. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a fair or enjoyable experience in Cabo.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Hello Antovise, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly regret that parts of your experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a few important points for future travelers. The mandatory park entrance fee ($25 USD per person) and vehicle protection option (either the $45 USD insurance per vehicle or a refundable credit card authorization) are clearly outlined in the tour description prior to booking. These charges are standard requirements set by the park and are not hidden fees added on arrival. Regarding the phone policy, for safety reasons, cell phones are not permitted while operating the vehicles. This policy is strictly enforced to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all guests. Guests are welcome to use GoPros or action cameras with proper body harnesses, and professional photography is offered as an optional service. Photo packages are entirely optional and pricing may vary depending on selected packages. We understand that unexpected expenses can be frustrating, especially while traveling, and we always encourage guests to carefully review the “Included” and “Not Included” sections before booking to avoid surprises. That said, we genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve communication and ensure expectations are clearly aligned. We hope you were still able to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Cabo and thank you again for sharing your experience. Best regards,

Expensive, but worth it!

Erica_Y, Feb 2026
Cruisers, make note, this is 45 min away from the cruise port each way. Plan accordingly! You will have a tender take to shore, which will take an additional 30-45 min. Plan to be at the meeting spot early. We were late and missed the van. But they were so kind to send another one to pick us up a little later. But that meant we had very little time to do the tour. We paid extra for the private tour, otherwise we wouldn’t have made it back in time. Joel was our amazing driver who got us as close as possible to the dock. Tony was our guide. He was awesome! He understood that we had half the time and he got us through everything very timely and we didn’t feel jipped or like we missed anything. My kids loved riding the utv and camels. It was an amazing experience. Make sure you read the fine print… there’s a $25 fee per person in addition to the tour cost. We felt blindsided. There’s also $45 fee for insurance per vehicle. This is a very expensive tour. But it was worth the memories.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Hello Erica, Thank you so much for sharing your detailed experience! Cruise logistics in Cabo can definitely require extra planning due to tender times and transportation distance, and we truly appreciate you highlighting that for future travelers. We’re very glad our team was able to assist when you missed the original van and that we could still make the experience work for your family. Joel and Tony will be thrilled to hear your kind words — our team always does their best to ensure guests feel taken care of, especially when timing is tight. We’re happy to know your kids loved both the UTV ride and the camel experience! Regarding the additional fees, the mandatory park entry fee ($25 USD per person) and vehicle protection option ($45 USD per vehicle or credit card authorization) are listed in the “Not Included” section prior to booking. We understand that these can feel like surprises if not reviewed carefully, and your feedback helps remind future guests to review those details in advance. We’re so glad that, despite the tight schedule, the experience was worth it and created lasting memories for your family. That’s always our goal. We hope to welcome you back to Cabo again soon! Warm regards,

Prepare to have to pay...

MISHAYLA_F, Feb 2026
Prepare to have to pay for UTV/ATV insurance that is not mentioned before hand + the $25 per person entry. Otherwise the experiences are great

10/10 Highly Recommend

Mikayla_C, Feb 2026
My flight was delayed and I wasn't able to go to the original date, however they were very accommodating and helped me reschedule (at no additional costs). Pick up and drop off at hotel was very convenient and easy! I also want to mention that the UTVs we rode were automatic with no additional costs - however you are able to upgrade the type of cars, if you don't want a two seater. The views of desert to beach, driving up to a cliffside and over dunes, was just an incredible sight. The staff/tour guides were so helpful and made the whole tour even better! Will definitely be going back here again as this was just an amazing experience.

Should be more transparent

Brea_M, Jan 2026
Ih wish I could leave two separate reviews. If I could leave a review just for our tour guide, I will leave a five out of five. He was personal, professional, and did a great job. Cactus tours, however, left a lot to be desired. First of all, it wasn’t until a couple of days before the tour where I found out you were not allowed to bring your cell phone with unless you upgraded to the private tour at $35 a person. There was also an insurance policy on the UTV’a was not disclosed beforehand. Finally… When it came time to leave Transportation was “ when you wanted to leave” again something that was not disclosed beforehand. We were almost ready to leave and we asked the bus to wait for 3 to 5 minutes as my son purchased a hat and they said no one left which meant we had to sit there for the next hour. I’m sure they wanted us to spend money, but we did not out of sheer protest. Not sure I would use this group again.

Be very careful there...

Kyle_N, Jan 2026
Be very careful there emails and fine print says nothing about coming having a beer. We are in Cabo what you expect. 1 guy of the 8 of us had a beer when we walked in, so they decided to breathalize all of us really?? It was ridiculous they made us wait and 1 guy didn’t pass. We waited for 2 hours and they wouldn’t give us a refund on top of it. They need to put huge bullets points no beer or drinking that day.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Hello Kyle, Thank you for your review. We are sorry the experience did not meet your expectations, and we understand how frustrating the situation must have been for your group. We would like to clarify an important point: the issue was not having a beer. As you mentioned, we are in Cabo, and our facility even includes a bar and a tequila tasting. Alcohol itself is not prohibited. The concern arose due to visible signs that one participant was not in suitable physical condition to safely take part in an off-road activity, which involves powerful vehicles and uneven terrain. In these cases, for the safety of that individual, the rest of the group, our staff, and other guests, we are required to apply a breathalyzer and safety evaluation. When a participant does not meet the minimum safety requirements, we are legally unable to allow them to continue. For this reason, and as is common practice in these situations, we offered to reschedule the experience for another day at no additional cost, once the participant was in a better condition to safely enjoy the tour. Unfortunately, once transportation has taken place and the operation has started, refunds are not permitted under the operator’s safety policy, which is standard for adventure activities worldwide. We truly regret the delay and inconvenience this caused your group. Our intention is never to disappoint our guests; however, we will never compromise safety, even when that decision is unpopular. We appreciate your understanding and remain available to discuss this privately if you wish. Kind regards,

Ask for Alvero!!

Nicole_B, Jan 2026
We upgraded to the private tour and were so happy we did!! Alvero was amazing, so kind, funny, informed us about all of the plants, made us feel safe and let us go fast in the UTVs!!! Highly recommend this tour and the tour guide Alvero! The camels are a must as well!!! Loved it all!

We were a group of 12 &...

Diedre_M, Jan 2026
We were a group of 12 & Ventura was our guide. I could have passed on the camel ride but the UTVs were super fun! Especially if you’re a thrill seeker! The organic flavored tequilas were tasty. I just wish the taster cups were bigger.

Camel riding

Vanessa_S, Jan 2026
This was a great experience riding the camel trying something different but I loved every minute of it. If you never tried it I would say its a experience you dont want to miss out on .My guide Toledo was great took his time with us and was there through every moment..i would recommend if you do take this excursion to please have like a body cam pro cam or something so u can capture the moment because they dont allow u to take your phones..it has to be hands free while riding the camel

Great time

Loretta_D, Dec 2025
Andres was a great guide! Learned a lot about camels and had fun riding them and the ATVs! Would definitely recommend it to others. Glad we upgraded to the private tour!

Fun but lots of extra costs

Juliegevurtz, Dec 2025
Fun fun fun experience to ride camels and ATV on beach. But they upsell to on everything and while they quote you in dollars, charge in pesos and the exchange rate is horrible. It truly is a fun time but be prepare to spend much more than when booking it

Juan is the Man of the Sands!!! Best excursion in CABO!

Sandy_J, Dec 2025
We give this excursion a 10 out of 10. Our Tour Guard Juan the one and only, was a great host! Kept us engaged and laughing. Transportation there and back was on time, clean and cool. The Camel ride and UTV experience will last forever. Ranch is so well organized and beautiful. This is a must to do when in CABO!

You have to try this!!”

Hollie_S, Dec 2025
This was so cool! When are you ever going to have another chance to kiss a camel?! Seriously, we loved this activity. We rode the UTV first. I would suggest picking a helmet that has a wind shield. Otherwise they do give you goggles but you might have sand blowing in your mouth. The camel part was a one of a kind experience. You walk along a pristine beach with a view to die for. We had the perfect weather with just a bit of cloud cover and the sun peeking through. We paid for the upgrade to get a private tour. I would do that again. We were able to use our own cell phones, but I bought the picture package anyway. It was just so fun to be with our little family. It ended up being pricey in the end, but it was worth it! We’re on vacation. The extra costs also included is you a $25 fee per person in cash for a park entry. They have an ATM at the check in place if you don’t have cash on you. We tipped both our drivers, there and back, as well as our tour guide. We felt totally safe the entire time. Seriously, I would totally recommend this tour!

Family Fun

Vic_B, Dec 2025
Our initial experience got off to a rocky start. We did not receive the confirmation email until 9:04 a.m. on the morning of pickup, which was scheduled for 9:20 a.m. However, we were able to reschedule without any issues, and everything worked out well from there. When we arrived at the event, we had paid additional fees for a private tour. Unfortunately, the initial guide assigned to us, Irvin, was unresponsive and disappeared for nearly 20 minutes. We had to inquire about his whereabouts, at which point Tony stepped in as our guide. Tony was absolutely amazing and truly made up for the earlier inconvenience. He was professional, engaging, and apologized multiple times for his coworker’s lack of professionalism. Aside from those initial issues, the experience was great, and I would still recommend it.

Such an amazing...

Donna_S, Dec 2025
Such an amazing experience. We would highly recommend to anyone thinking about doing a camel ride / atv package with Cactus Co. to go for it. You won't regret it, best time ever! Our guide Shorty was so much fun, knowledgeable and took very good care of us on the Camel ride and ATV tour.
