Good value both for the drinks and the sommelier.
Irene is very knowledgeable and engaging and we came away feeling we had learned a great deal about these delicious Basque wines.
Pairing the wines with local cheeses and meats added an extra dimension to the experience.
The atmosphere was great fun and we were lucky to be with just one other couple so the atmosphere was intimate and fun throughout.
At the end of Irene’s session we were able to stay in the room and continue drinking the remains of the wines and chat.
A really good experience overall and one we would highly recommend.

Irene was a great host ! She is a wine passionnate and provides great explanations, tips and advice for a better understanding of the local wine produced in the region. Wines were amazing ! I truly recommend !

Good thorough wine tasting tour of five wines - one cava, two whites and two reds - of the local area which had all their own differences and particular textures. All paired with cheeses and cured meats. I was not very knowledgeable on this topic beforehand so I feel it was very much worth my time. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Irene led a very detailed and engaging Spanish Wine tasting. My husband is a sommelier and thoroughly enjoyed deepening his understanding of the various regions. After the tasting, we stayed for pinxtos and wine and David helped us explore a variety of tasty dishes. I highly recommend the tasting, the food, and the wine shop. You will have a great time.

Ireane taught us the technique of experiencing wines like a pro while pairing them with different appetizers. My friend and I found it very educational because we also learned how the wines were made and from what regions they came from. Afterwards, we were able to purchase the wines and some of the cheeses we had tried to enjoy back at our hotel.

The Sommier was educated about Spanish wines. We had 5 nice wines with a small cheese and meat board each. He was a caring and gifted teacher.

Ales provides a detailed lesson covering the wines of the Basque region and how they differ from other Spanish and French varietals. The wines he poured were delicious. Our group of 5 made the experience intimate and personalized. Irene has a warm, engaging and welcoming style that insures a comfortable and lively time. She is passionate and knowledgeable about the wines of Rioja and guides you through sharpening your awareness of the wine qualities. Each wine was excellent but distinct from the others. And the paired local cheeses were quite good. My love of wine and cheese was completely satisfied! Irene also shared snippets about local customs and food that enhanced our experience. Highly recommended; I’ve been to many wineries around the world but prefer this event to those winery visits.
