Our guide Victoria was outstanding! She was extremely knowledgeable and provided lots of details about Spanish history and Monserrat. Very sweet and accommodating to our needs
Our guide, Jugo, met us at our hotel and we then took a metro and then a train to Monsterret. (Given our first time on those, it was nice to have a guide.). Jugó was very friendly and shared a lot of insight. One thing we didn’t know is that you need to purchase tickets for the boy‘a choir ahead of time as it is typically sold out. If that is something you’re interested, contact the tour company and let them know.

Great trip and well worth the time it took to get there from Barcelona. Our guide is as so friendly, kind and accommodating our every need. We felt like family when we left her. Our favorite thing was the boys choir in the basilicas, the museum.
My only comment is that it needs to be one hour longer, felt rushed

LINESE was amazing tour guide!!! She was extremely knowledgable and was with us a the whole time. This is a very different excursion as far as that you are not loaded up on a bus with others, you take the local expierence. The guide will fome to your hotel by foot and you will head to the destination. First you will take the local metro, then a train about an hour out of the city to the cable cae that will take you to the Montersery at the top of the mountain. Along the way we got to know our tour guide and met several local people. If you are like me then this is the best part of traveling, to see the local life and meet interesting people. We had an amaxing time and had the best tour guide!!!! HIGHLY RECCOMEND IF YOU WANT TO EXPIERENCE REAL PEOPLE AND LOCAL KNOWLEDGE!!!

Be careful On this tour to Monserrat. Viator sub contracts this to a third party. The offer boasts that it is a private tour and that we can pick you up at your hotel. It doesn’t say and here is the catch, (a person shows up at your hotel and takes you to the subway) it is NOT a private vehicle!!!) $215 a person is a
Lot of $$$$ when you can do this yourself for half.
Now, our tour guide was excellent Uma was fantastic. She maneuvered us through a broken subway and got my girlfriend and me to the train on time. She was the bright spot of the trip. Great personality and incredible helpful! By the way, the tour boasts of a beautiful train ride? Not even close. You are packed in like sardines and cannot see anything. Also Spain has a mask law for and you guessed it, subway and trains. Was brutally hot on both!
So in conclusion, it is a private tour. You and your guide. However, ZERO private car!! Wish more people would have post like I did!!!. Maybe Viator will put in ((( ))) that this trip does not have a private car!!!
You would be better to do the small group of 12-18 and save yourself a ton of $$$$ and frustration!!
Having someone escort us from our hotel in Barcelona to the Mount. And then seeing the magnitude of Montserrat from the gondola ride to the top.
Very interesting place. A lot to see. Couldn’t fit everything we wanted to do in the seven hours. We booked a private tour with “pick up at our location”. I assumed that meant we would have a private vehicle. Not the case. We were picked up by the guide then proceeded to ride on a public bus to get to the train.
Marc was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information. I would highly recommend this tour

Mark our guide was terrific. It was great having him meet us at our hotel and guide us the entire day. Not a thing to worry about and hes a wealth of information. We enjoyed a tapas lunch to top off a great day.
Our guide was charming but didn't know much about where we were going. The lunch offered was a buffet and not so good. The views were magnificent!
We started off from Plaza Catalunya up to the start of the cable car. Perfect travel time to discuss much more about the tour and the important facts of Montserrat.
We had a chance to absorb much of the details because we were only 4 in this private tour and we had time to enjoy photo shoots and prayer and a lovely paella meal. Without having to rush.
Marc is our tour guide in La Sagrada Familia and here so we're comfortable being with him. As nice as always and being so patient with us on our request even to go uphill. The best!
Great tour to Montserrat. Ramon was very helpful in making sure our day was filled interesting information and the sites of Montserrat.
We loved this tour! We were met by Marc who made our traveling day hassle free and a pleasure. He was kind and patient, very attentive to all of our needs. He had so much information and history to share with us. We were a family of 6 so he kept us moving but at a perfect pace. It was such a pleasure to have him guide us throughout the day. We finished our day with a lovely Paella lunch at a terrific restaurant. He was very in tune with our expectations and we loved every minute!
Jordi met us at our hotel promptly and began what turned out to be an incredible day! Jordi knew all of the tips and hints for the transit systems that took us to Montserrat. Without his guidance, we would have been left in the dust! As it was, we were in the front of the gondola that took us up the mountainside to the town of Montserrat and had the best views! He was very knowledgeable about the history and he made sure we had the shortest wait to see the Black Madonna and make our wish. He also guided us in the church to witness the amazing performance of the boys choir. Afterward, Jordi took us back into the city for a fantastic lunch. It was an unforgettable day made perfect by our guide Jordi!
I busy day but our guide Jorge was professional and personable and kept us moving and informed. A wonderful way to see Montserrat and sample some of the local food and culture. Our tour ended with a lovely paella dinner at a Barcelona restaurant. A most enjoyable day.

Our guide was prompt,courteous,knowledgeable and very patient.
This was one of the best tours we've ever done. Our guide, Jordi, picked us up at the hotel and took us by subway and train to Montserrat where we rode the cable car to the top. Jordi was extremely knowledgeable and we very much enjoyed spending the day with him. We gained so much insight into Montserrat but also Catalunya and Barcelona. A very interesting person! We were totally enchanted by the boys choir! The church is so beautiful. We enjoyed a lovely coffee and local pastery at the monastery and later enjoyed a wonderful lunch. We very much enjoyed this tour!
Great tour...only wish it could have been twice as long...there is much to see at Montserrat. Prepare for it if you have time, by reading up on the black madonna there, and others in Europe, and by reading about the fine collection in the art museum. Beautiful site, well worth the time to train up to it and back.
A must do tour. Great way to get to Monserrat with a wonderful guide. Ernesto is one of the best we had during our stay in Barcelona
Great trip up to Montserrat and highly recommend Marc our tour guide was great organised everythign and made it very easy to get there. We would have loved to have spent more time there as it felt a bit rushed through no fault of Marc just the time we had there didnt allow us the time to visit the museum or go up the funicular as we had to choose whether to watch the boys choir or go up funicular.
Marc was a terrific guide, organized, fun, professional, affable, tailored to our specs....and we had an awesome day at Montserrat. Highly recommend the trip -and Marc as your guide if you can get him.
