We chose the guided tour option. The 2 hour guided tour after considering that the guide spoke alternately in English and Spanish seemed more like a 1 hour tour. We regret not having taken the self guided option which included admission to the Cathedral. It was not included in the guided option.

Long day. be aware that if you choose only Game of Thrones tour.. you will be at Girona for over 4 hours of free time. The tour is shared with those going to Dali museum and they leave and come back. it was a long time to wait. We thought it was only 2 hours of free time according to previous reviews. It made for a very long, hot day.

This tour is a great half day, day trip from Barcelona. Girona is an amazing town to visit, as a fan of Game of Thrones it was cool to see where some of the TV show was filmed. The tour was an hour guided and an hour of free time. The tour guide showed us some of the main filming locations and held up pictures from the TV show to compare how it looked in real life. The guided portion of the tour will end at the cathedral (great sept of baelor), from there you can continue to walk around the town on your own. Honestly it should have been about 30 minutes guided and the remaining 1.5hrs as free time as it felt like the tour guide was reaching for things to talk about and we would have preferred the extra time to eat lunch in Girona. We had a small group of roughly 15 people yet travelled on a large commuter bus so there was plenty of space to spread out. Logistically you get an e-voucher and then need to show up at the bus station in the morning and go to the Julia tour desk to get your physical tickets. This process was a bit messy as the office didn't open until a few minutes before the tour start time so there was a long queue of people waiting for various tours. It will feel a bit chaotic but don't worry the tour company will get you on the right bus and a way on your tour. While only 2 hours in Girona it was a good compromise that allowed us to see the town but also get back and enjoy other activities in Barcelona that afternoon.

Good fun walking around the picturesque Girona town and the various locations of Game of Thrones set ! Guided tour roughly takes 1.5-2hours and another 1 hour of free time which to me slightly short for a lunch break. The bus journey takes 1.5hours to/from Barcelona each way which is quite far …. Anyway still a good experience if you have half day free in Barcelona.

The guide had some printed photos of the location spots of of Game of Throne but could never find the correct one, as many were missing. The guide tried to use the phone to show us some pics but signal was not working well. At the end the guide got lost and left us in the middle of nowhere while looking for the bus to take us back to BCN.

A very good quick tour of Girona and the places of where some scenes of Game of Thrones were filmed at. Had an hour and a half of free time to roam around the city and recreate the scenes from GoT which was great 👍🏽 Would highly recommend to try out “Jaime Lannister’s Golden Hand” ice cream from Rocambolesc Gelateria.

Our guide had lots of good information regarding Girona for both normal travelers and Game of Thrones viewers. It was a very nice city to visit with so much history. I just wished we had more free time (or in general more time) to explore! This is a nice tour if you are looking to stay within a specific timeframe.

We wanted to see Girona, which is @ 1 1/4 hours outside Barcelona so we booked this tour. The bus ride was acceptable, however, it would have been a much better experience if the Guide had been more professional and provided commentary as to what we were about to see in Girona, etc. We were told the tour would be in English and it was BUT also, the guide needed to repeat everything in Spanish so possibly this added to her desire to keep the commentary short. We were somewhat disappointed in the overall experience. We should have ask a few more questions before and during the visit to Girona.

El casco histórico se mantiene realmente muy bien, original. Nos tocó una semana festiva con mucha decoración, pero con demasiado turismo (no se podía caminar). El guía que nos tocó cumplió con su trabajo, y nada más. Demasiado viaje y tiempo invertidos en una experiencia que nos dejó muy poco. Muy enfocado en la serie Guerra de tronos, que no vimos y por lo tanto no nos llegó como a otros del grupo que si la vieron
