Our guide was great. Explained a lot about life on the island on our drive and helped us check in for our tour. The caves and park were a must do on Barbados. We enjoyed our trip with Erskine-thank you!

Outstanding Cave Tour

William_J, Apr 2026
From the time you walk in the door until the tour begins, you are being informed of every step. When the tour begins, in depth history is provided by the guide. They give you the opportunity to take as many pictures needed, no pressure. It’s fun, exciting and very safe.

Great round trip option for the amazing Harrison Caves!

Fun Day Trip

Sandra_C, Apr 2026
Allow for flexibility and time. Make sure to bring snacks or eat at the caves. We had a great tour guide, Roger.

One of nature’s great wonders

Very well organized and informative tour guides. A great wonder of the earth for sure. Breathtaking beauty!

Great tour and guide, terrible communication with tour company

Jim_M, Mar 2026
Tour was great, but tour operator was terrible. After initially sending me details through the viator app about where to meet. They notified me in Whatsapp that the time had been changed the night before. Of course I never saw it since the previous mode of communication was through viator app. I was finally able to reach them and learned of schedule change (this is when I found about whatsapp message) I returned to meeting place at new time and they were not there. Checked whatsapp, no message. Then I checked communication through viator app and they left me a nessage an hour before asking to confirm. I replied yes; but at that point they had already told the driver I cancelled the tour. They finally got the driver to me a half hour later. They should have stuck to one form of communication and not switched back and forth. The tour itself was great but the reschedule caused me to miss another activity.

Poor service from Sun Tours and Viator

Keith_T, Mar 2026
We booked to go on the 9.30 pick up time from our hotel 2 days before the cave visit. We got an email from Viator saying they would confirm pickup time next day. Pick up time was moved to 11.30 am from our hotel. We could not see how to cancel as it was less than 24 hrs when we picked the message up. Taxi arrived on time and driver said only 2 of us going. He had to fill up his car on the way and then he got a message to pick 2 more people up. He had to drive to the other side of the island to pick up 2 people, which increased the journey time to 1 hour, instead of 39 minutes. We were booked on the 2pm tram around the caves, but we managed to get onto the 12.40pm, which left at 1.10pm. My wife and I had to sit in separate carriages on our own. The return journey took a little less time, but we didn’t get back to our hotel until 3pm. It was a long day for a 50 minute tram ride. Caves were brilliant. We should have gone by taxi and got our own tickets.

In Awe of the Caves; Must See!

Shannon_L, Mar 2026
This was a fantastic experience; I was speechless. Toni provided great customer service while we waited for our tour to start. Then Sierra and Shane made the whole tour extraordinary! The explained everything well and gave us time for pictures and to appreciate what we were seeing. They were both fun and friendly and professional.

Cave tour was okay

Jerusha_F, Mar 2026
The organization of the excursion was great. Our Driver, Sean, was awesome. Everything about that part of the excursion was good. The cave was neat to see, but it wasn’t much different from other caves I’ve visited, just a lot more water. Cave tour guide tried to be engaging. It was not horrible, but in my humble opinion we could have done something that was more physical. The most interesting thing for me was learning about how the island of Barbados was formed.

Harrison’s Cave

Denise_W, Mar 2026
Tram ride through tunnel was interesting with different formations to view. There was an interesting presentation to watch beforehand and a bird aviary to visit too.

Great time at Henderson Cave

Convenient pick up very well organized. The excursion was very informative. Highly recommend to everyone.

Perfect family tour

Lizz_S, Mar 2026
We were collected at the shop port. Really well signposted and organised. The driver gave us information on Barbados as we drove to the cave. We were then left to have time in the cave whilst the driver waited for us. Had some lovely food and drink in the park before the tour. The tour itself was very informative and fun. The caves are magnificent and a must see. Totally enjoyed ourselves.

Excellent experience at the caves

Adrian_W, Mar 2026
Having booked this trip we were a little worried on reading some of the recent reviews. However, we experienced no issues whatsoever on our visit to the caves. Our driver picked up at the agreed location and was on time and he was there to bring us back after our visit. We had plenty of time to do the cave tram, the nature walk and the aviary and we had a great time. The caves themselves are spectacular and it was a really interesting and informative visit.

"Cave and Scam" - Robbery, Scam, and No Communication!

Carla_E, Mar 2026
SunTours Barbados made last-minute changes to our tour, altering the pickup time from 8:30 am to 9:45 am, which was unacceptable given the tight schedule of our cruise. Despite booking through Viator and expressing our concerns about the timing within an hour of confirmation, they failed to accommodate us. This change, made just 15 hours before the tour, left us no choice but to cancel, as we couldn't make the 10:30 am entrance and return in time for our cruise's 1 pm departure. We booked with Viator and SunTours Barbados scammed us by changing our pickup time to 945am fom 830am 15 hours before pickup which is well past 24 hours cancelation time for us as customers and cruisers. They know we couldn't make a 1030am entrance with 2 hours riding and exploring with a group and make it back to the 1pm cruise disembark departure to another country. We even wrote this within 1 hour of confirming our trip 5 days before our March 12 830am tour!

Should have made it our First tour

Vicki_W, Mar 2026
We absolutely loved the caves. Our tour guide was Gabriel who was an excellent communicator to both adults and children, patient with those who needed extra time getting on and off the tram or adjusting helmets 😉 and super with taking photos for each !

It's a shame

Irene_S, Mar 2026
The transport took over an hour to get to the caves, which I can understand, as there are more than our pick up point. We arrived at the caves, got booked in for an 11.20 tour. Went to the meeting point for 11.20 and waited over an hour for someone to collect us for our tour. Mean while, we couldnt see anybody to explain why we had to wait so long. Whilst we were waiting, other people from later tours were arriving, and had to be accommodated on our tour. Our driver back to the hotel was waiting for us and as we were over an hour late, we didn't have time to appreciate the other attractions at the cave. The journey home took over 2 hours, by which time my day was over. The caves are beautiful, but my experience was not.

Definitely a must see...

Reka_K, Mar 2026
Definitely a must see place in Barbados. Other than the tickets you need to sign a waiver. The staff helped us with that - mobile phone required. Once inside the tram (ours was at 11.20am but only got into the tram at 12 pm) everything ran smoothly. The guide was excellent.

Beautiful caves and tour. Tour process needs to be more organized.

Tammy_K, Mar 2026
The caves are really beautiful and the guide was knowledgeable and engaging. The check in was a little chaotic. The receipt doesn't specify the exact time of your tour and the check in person couldn't find our reservation even though we had booking and confirmation numbers. Everything else was great.

Caves good but transport disappointing

Vivi_O, Mar 2026
The caves were much more interesting than you would think and very beautiful. They were very well run - the short film showing how the island evolved and the history was extremely good. The only problem with our trip - booked through Viator with Sun Tours was that they were late picking us up so literally got us there just in time for our tour (which are all timed) two of our party were not booked in although we had booked and paid and had tickets for 4 people so that took some time to sort out. When we had been on the tour, which takes us approximately 45 minutes, we were just going to have a nice cocktail in the caves lovely grounds and the bus driver was hassling us to get back onto the bus as we should have left already! Would not book with sun tours again.

Great caves, nice transfer driver, poor scheduling

Lauren_H, Mar 2026
Our excursion time was pushed out 2 hours at the last minute - although I booked 6 months ago. Then, we arrived late at the caves and missed our scheduled cave tour time. We were made to wait 1.5 hours while 2 other groups went on tours ahead of us. We should have been back by 11:30, but instead got back at 3:00. We weren't able to make the most of our time in port at Barbados and much of the day was wasted waiting. The caves themselves were amazing. The bird area was sad because many of the birds had empty food and water dishes and no toys. I'd recommend the caves to others, but not Viator if you're on a schedule.

The caves and grounds...

Linda_M, Feb 2026
The caves and grounds were perfect. A few thing your company may want to consider.1. Between travel time and cave tour it becomes a 4+ hour tour advertised as 2 hours. 2.suggest drivers inquire what time the group is booked for tour then give an appointed time to group to return to mini bus. Seemed to be a bit of confusion the day I was there, arrived at 10:30am and our turn for tour wasn't schedule till 11:20. Some travellers were upset over the time and made the experience some what uncomfortable.

Don't believe two hours

Dale_G, Feb 2026
Length of ride to attraction and number of pickups and drop-offs. Insist on return time to van for all passengers. The two hour experience evolved into a five hour journey with 2 hours and ten minutes riding in the van and 45 minutes waiting in the bus for all passengers to return to van after the tour. The driver did not give a deadline to return and dropped off the group of ten picked up from other hotel locations. Then we went thru a rather chaotic entrance signing their waiver form only to learn our scheduled tran tour was an hour and twenty minutes away. The staff did get us in early but we did not remain with our group as there was no leadership or coordination. Everyone was on their own. With no deadline to return to the van, some passengers thought they had all day there. We thought two hours meant two hours. We asked for a refund. We received an apology and $20.00. It ruined our plans for the day and we were stressed out with the process and lack of communication.

An amazing experience

Nicolle_C, Feb 2026
The tram tour of Harrison caves was amazing. Sierra and Keon are very knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver, Hassim, was very professional and friendly. Overall, a great excursion and well worth the price.

Harrison caves are a must do!

Ernest_A, Feb 2026
The caves are beautiful. It was so fun to be able to go on the caves on a tram and not have to walk. Tram operators were knowledgeable and personable. Great trip!

Disorganized Mess

Thomas_Q, Feb 2026
Harrison Caves was a great experience. Highly recommended. The local tour operator, Sun Tours, was a disorganized mess. After receiving an email the day before changing the pick up time from 8:30 am to 12:05 pm, my partner and I arrived at Harrison’s Caves with 5 others in the same van at approximately 1 pm. The driver did not speak throughout the ride. He dropped us off in front and said only that he would be in the parking lot when we were finished. There were several lines when we into the ticketing area. There was a man with a yellow Sun Tours shirt at the front of the “pre-booked “ line helping people get their tickets and put on their wristbands. The 7 of us got on that line. The Sun Tours representative, however, left before we got to the counter. We were on our own. When we got to the counter, the ticket agent said that we had been booked on the tour leaving at 12:20 and we were supposed to have arrived 30 minutes before that time. It was now after 1 pm. She then spent approximately 20 minutes on the phone figuring out how to accommodate us since we missed our scheduled tour. She then told us that she had to split up our group of 7 into different groups leaving at different times. My partner and I were first on line. We’re were told to hurry up to catch up to the group that was about to leave. We hurried and just made it. The other 5 people who were in the van with us were then booked on a subsequent tour. The tour itself was spectacular and I highly recommend that aspect of the experience. We finished the tour. After waiting for approximately 40 minutes, and having no idea when the rest of our group were going to finish, we decided to abandon the van and take an Uber back to our hotel. We called an Uber and had a 23 minute wait. Fortunately, the other 5 members of the group finished up and were able to cancel the Uber and take the van back (which was included in the price of our tour package.) We have had multiple great experiences with Viator throughout the world and aren’t going to let this one bad experience stop us from using Viator again. Viator, however, needs to straighten out or discontinue its relationship with Sun Tours. Sun Tours is jeopardizing Viator’s otherwise excellent reputation.

Best things for all ages and easy going

Yvette_N, Feb 2026
Great experience from beginning till end. We did the tram ride, our bodies needed an easy going excursion. The sights to see are amazing, tour guide was also knowledgeable and pleasant.

Cave tour wonderful but if possible travel independently and don’t use a tour operator

Margaret_S, Feb 2026
Tour operator from Bridgetown allowed too little time after the tour to visit aviary, shop, have coffee etc

Tram ride in Harrison Caves.

JohnC_U, Feb 2026
The tram ride was excellent as our guide injected humour with information. He stopped several points so that we could take pictures and was more than willing to take pictures of us. We also got to see the bird sanctuary and hand feed the parrots.

Harrison's Cave

John_K, Feb 2026
Our experience was very rushed once we arrived at Harrison's Cave. We were there earlier than our scheduled tour time, but we were rushed onto an earlier cave tour in order to (it appeared) be taken home again quickly right afterward in order to fit in the next group. We were not given enough opportunity to explore the aviary (included in the tour cost) or even the gift shop. Our driver didn't give us a meeting time beforehand for pickup but said he'd be waiting for us after our tour, however he was not there when we were, and had to be contacted. Communication in general should have been better. Saying this I'll still recommend visiting Harrison's Cave because it is beautiful.

Harrison Cave

Donna_K, Feb 2026
This tour is well worth it The cave is beautiful and there are other things you can do such as zip lining

Worthwhile excursion
