Cruise passengers: please walk through the port terminal, past the car park and right OUTSIDE the MAIN PORT GATES where we will be waiting for you. Be aware there are two sets of gates so make sure you go through the second set. The port officials have been known to send you to the taxi stand inside the port. You may need to inform them that you need to walk right outside the gates and outside of the port complex. You will find us on a small grassy roundabout under the tree with a board displaying our Mike's Maxi Taxi & Tours logo. We can send you further details after your booking.

If this is your first time here, and want to do a tour,we recommend this one. You see parts of east and west coasts and the very northern section. Beautiful views and the difference between the coasts is amazing.

To appreciate my review, you need to know that I absolutely love learning!
The Real Barbados tour with Mike’s Taxi & Tours company was excellent. Our tour guide’s knowledge of history was apparent in the details the shared. Our scheduled pick up was seamless. As we drove toward Bridgetown, our guide pulled over to a shady spot so they could give us the breakdown on some history.
Our guide started with 1492 and ended at independence!!! Yes, I took notes and LOVED doing it. And just like that, we were on our way again headed towards our first destination.
I also appreciated the personal stories our guide shared during the tour. I especially like learning how trips to the east side of the island and BethSheba served as the vacation spot for many Bajan families.

I picked this tour as Mike and Sue only have five star reviews and it looked amazing.
It did not disappoint. Mike was knowledgeable, entertaining, warm and really important for me he was a safe, gentle, considerate driver.
We learnt so much with Mike and if you just do one tour in Barbados, this is the one to pick.
Sue is clearly the organiser and made a wonderful day even better by organising those little extras - we loved the rum punch.
We felt we saw most of the Island, learnt loads in a fun way and this tour is a 10/10 from us.

My husband and I had a great time with Mike! We learned so much about the island in each parish and what they all have to offer! It rained majority of our tour, but Mike still visited every stop and stayed on schedule. We were the only couple on the tour, so it was that much more of a personal touch. My mum and I had a great tour with Mike on our first visit to Barbados. We were actually the only 2 people on the tour that day, which made it even more personal. Mike was a brilliant guide and has a wealth of interesting knowledge about the island, it's history and it's people. He was very friendly and answered all our nerdy questions. The lunch spot was great. It lived up to it's name seeing so many 'real Barbados' sights. Highly recommend, thanks Mike!

My friend & I did this trip last week & were lucky to be the only 2 on the tour that day with Mike so it was a very good personal experience. Mike was brilliant, chatty very knowledgable about the island. The tour was just the right length (between 6 - 7 hrs) & took in the main sights giving us plenty of time to stop & take photos. Whilst lunch isn't inc we stopped at a pleasant roadside restaurant & were able to choose from the menu which was better for us as we weren't wildly hungry. Although Mike did include rum punch drinks at our last stop at Bathsheba much appreicated. All in all a very good day and thoroughly enjoyable thanks to Mike who was very professional and engaging.

Where to start, bumped into Mike on the way to our pick up point. We were greeted with a friendly smile and were welcomed on board.

Having being in Barbados for two weeks and going on multiple different tours I can safely say this one with Mike was by far the best. It was insightful and personal and gave you a real understanding on what it's like to grow up in Barbados.
Mike is really knowledgeable about Barbados and had a story for everywhere we went. My wife and I truly had the best day ever and Mike thank you so much for spending the day with us, we will talk about this trip for years to come.

This was truly one of my favorite tours EVER! Mike was a wonderful tour guide with an amazing breadth and depth of knowledge about Barbados past and present. My mother grew up in Barbados and learned things on this tour that she didn't know before, and I finally feel connected to my Bajan ancestry in a way that I never felt before. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable and proud to tell us all about his Island and it's history. The main attraction of the tour, swimming in the cave lake, was closed due to a strong Atlantic surf. So, we spent 5 hours bouncing around the island with little time spent out of the van.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, Robert. We share your disappointment about the cave being closed. It was very unfortunate that the sea was so rough that day. However, the safety of visitors and staff is obviously of their highest concern and as the Bajans say, ‘The sea has no back door.’
I hope you enjoyed all the other places we stopped, especially St James Church, Bathsheba and Cherry Tree Hill. Hope you visit Barbados again soon and the sea isn’t so rough.

Mike was simply amazing! The resort that my wife and I stayed at had several options for tours but after doing some research we decided that we wanted a true Barbados experience and that's exactly what Mike delivered. This was such an enjoyable trip, thank you so much.
We were on our own and shown around the island by Michael who was such a lovely guy and told us the islands history, culture and nothing was too much trouble. He was so friendly and helpful.

The day covered so much. Not only did we get to see so much of this beautiful island but we also learnt loads. History, geography, botany, architecture, culture, politics, music – you name it, Mike had in depth, interesting facts about it. It was great to get a small private tour, as it feels like it can be more tailored to you and your interests.
Mike’s enthusiasm and love for his home can really be felt, it was such a lovely day!
We really learnt so much as Mike has so much information, and he delivers it all interestingly and with a sense of humour, we were engaged and laughing all day. He is a great conversationalist.
If it’s your first time in Barbados, make sure you book a tour with Mike at the beginning of your trip - there’s so much to see and the day with Mike definitely informed the rest of holiday for us. It was really useful to get the lay of the land and a feel for specific areas. He also gave us loads of recommends for other places to visit, as well as the best times to turn up to things like Oistins Fish Fry Friday – we beat the queues!
Cannot recommend enough! Definitely worth it!! We want to really thank Mike for showing us round his beautiful home and sharing his wealth of knowledge with us. Thank you so much.

We managed to see all the parishes of the Island . The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable, about the history and traditions of the island .adapted the tour so we could go to The church in Christchurch .We took a packed lunch and he found us a good spot to have a picnic.And he answered all our questions.
Only negative was inky 1 bottle of water , and no air con. If taxi was full would gave been unbearably hot.

We cannot recommend enough Mike’s Tour of the Island. Mike has a wealth of information about Barbados and did an amazing job sharing it with us. Our tour ran longer than the 5 hour, but only after we agreed since we had no plans. I found myself sharing my new found knowledge with others when we returned. We saw a good portion of the island and was so impressed how it changed. Mike’s Rum punch was delicious also.
If you are looking to truly learn about Barbados, this is the tour for you. Thank you Mike.

The island is stunning anyway but brought to life by Mike's recounting of significant personalities and their impact on the history of the country. The tour was really varied and captured so much of this creative island. Having a guide like Mike made it feel almost as if it were an outing with friends such is his easy conversational style of relaying information. I really enjoyed my day and heartily recommend the tour.
