We had an amazing experience on a history tour in Bridgetown, Barbados! The entire walk was easy and enjoyable, making it perfect for all activity levels. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history of the island to life with fascinating stories and insights.

Our leader Karen was super knowledgeable and patiently answered questions. She offered us water bottles and reminded us when and where to watch the curbs , busy intersections, and potential tripping hazards.

Very informative and Kiann was an excellent guide. It is mostly in the sun, so be prepared with sunblock and a hat that ties under your chin (it’s windy and my hat blew off several times)

Very nice walk around older area of Bridgetown - the walk is around 2 hours but area covered is quite small - lots of historical information on the way and things to see. Our guide Karen was very knowledgeable about the history but was also able to answer all ad hoc questions we had. Highly recommended!

Was a nice walking tour, a couple things, the guide forgot her microphone speaker so at times it was hard to hear, would have been nice if we all introduced ourselves & maybe a little more dedicated time for pictures.

The tour operator did not turn up and didn’t respond to messages.
I contacted Viator for a refund - still waiting

Thank you for your feedback on your disappointing experience, we sincerely apologize for the miscommunication.
We sent a message to the traveler on 03/04/2026 indicating that the tour guide would be running late and would arrive at 12:30 PM instead of 12:00 PM to perform the tour on March 05, 2026. There appears to have been a miscommunication, as the traveler arrived at 12:00 PM. The supplier believed the message had been sent through Viator; however, it was not successfully delivered. The traveler stated that they waited for approximately 30 minutes and also sent a message through Viator. Typically, if a guide is running behind schedule, the Lead traveler would contact the supplier directly, as the supplier may not always be actively monitoring the system, which contributed to the message being missed.
The guide arrived at 12:30 PM and contacted a Viator representative from Independence Square to attempt to reach the traveler. The traveler requested a refund, which is currently being processed through Viator and may take 1–5 days to complete.

A really enjoyable and informative morning with an excellent tour guide.
Our guide Karen, was very knowledgeable and we spent the afternoon visiting some of the areas she pointed out but which the tour didn’t incorporate - such as the Kensington Oval and Pelican.

A stroll around the historical warehousing area by the water and the Jewish quarter. Our guide Karen gave us the full history of Barbados before we set off and was very knowledgeable and entertaining with her stories. Would recommend this tour. The pace was easy

Highly recommend, Karen our tour guide was excellent. Just a suggestion, perhaps if time permits to allow just a 10min break for a small snack or ice cream is was very hot the day of the tour.
