Gina was wonderful from the time we met her in the market until we parted after a wonderful lunch on her terrace overlooking the Palace of the Popes. She made us feel welcome in her home as we assisted in the preparation of a delicious Provençal meal - it has been the highlight of our trip so far.

More than a cooking class!

We had an absolutely delightful time with Gina who met us at the Avignon market door before we reviewed what to cook. Meat options were decided and then we shopped. Gina not only provides a cooking class but also gave us insight into the area and the local food. Our lunch of white asparagus with a beetroot sauce was followed by duck leg with braised vegetables and a gorgeous piquant orange sauce and then local strawberries along with a very nice savignon. All served on Gina's beautiful rooftop terrace looking at the Palais des Popes. Truly memorable!

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience with Gina. It all went very smoothly - from the initial meeting at Les Halles, deciding on a menu, selecting the seasonal local produce to helping to prepare the fresh, healthy meal. Gina’s rooftop terrace was a delightful dining area and her very sociable cats were great companions. Gina was so knowledgeable about French cooking and was also very helpful in recommending restaurants. She even kindly booked ahead for us at our next destination. We have very special memories of our time in Avignon thanks to Gina.

Shopping with Gina at Les Halls from vegetable stand to olive bars with incredible sights in between . A short walk to Gina’s quaint French home . An intimate kitchen was perfect for our cooking lesson followed by a rooftop patio lunch with a view of the Palace des Pope . A great immersion into French cuisine and culture.

The most fun cooking experience

We had the most fun day cooking with Gina! My husband and I met her at the local market to come up with a menu and select our food before going back to cook in her beautiful kitchen and enjoy our lunch on her rooftop overlooking the Pope’s Palace. We learned so much, had a great time doing and made a new friend as well. :)) Gina also gave us a suggestion for dinner that was fantastic. ❤️

Lovely & Intimate Provencal Cooking Class

Just wow! Our cooking class with Gina was the main highlight of our time in France (and we even visited four cities). It was so special to shop with Gina for our ingredients and chat as we cooked. Her apartment is so beautiful, and it was so lovely to cook there with her. We got to select local, seasonal ingredients and learn a bit about Provencal cooking. My husband and I keep raving to our friends about this experience and have already recommended it to others! If you're in the area this is well worth it. We can't wait to try out the recipes at home. Der Kochkurs hat viel Spaß gemacht. Man kann auch als geübte Personen was dazulernen, insbesondere was die Kniffe der provonsialischen Küche angeht. Der Kurs ging sogar länger als angesagt. Die Gerichte waren der Saison und den Temperaturen angepasst. In der ganzen Woche habe ich nicht schlecht gegessen, aber dieses Menü war mein Highlight. Gina ist super freundlich und es macht sehr viel Spaß mit ihr. Es ist ein Vergnügen gewesen Sie kennenzulernen zu dürfen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Gerne wieder.
