Great locations, less than great guide

The tour guide makes all the difference. Research reviews and attempt to schedule a proven guide. Our guide did not exhibit “extensive biblical knowledge” which was the major disappointment. Clean van, but not a Mercedes. No WiFi. Bottled water but no refreshments. Trying to communicate with the guide from the rear of the van while driving was difficult. Ancient Corinth and the museum were excellent. While tour guides are not allowed to enter the grounds, we received little background information about Paul from our guide. We did not visit 4 of the stops listed on the itinerary. I recommend you have the detailed Viator itinerary with you when you meet your guide, review it with him, and track your progress throughout the day.

After checking the itinerary and confirming with the driver, we can verify that all scheduled stops listed on the official Viator itinerary were completed, and there was no reason on the day to omit any part of the program. Regarding the service provided: • The tour was operated with a Mercedes vehicle, as advertised • Onboard Wi-Fi was available and active • Bottled water and refreshments were provided • The itinerary followed the route exactly as described on Viator Concerning guiding, Greek regulations allow only licensed archaeologist-guides to enter archaeological sites. Drivers and escorts provide historical context outside the sites unless a licensed guide is added as an extra, which is clearly noted in the tour description. As for communication inside the vehicle, speaking from the rear seats during driving can be challenging due to safety considerations; however, the driver is always available to answer questions at each stop. We appreciate your comments and your visit to Ancient Corinth, which we agree is an outstanding site. Should you wish to discuss any specific moment further, we would be happy to review it with you directly.

Kostas picked us up at hotel, in a comfortable Mercedes minivan. There were 6 of us and we faced each other making conversation easy. Visited all the stops advertised, and Kostas added interesting facts and shared knowledge. Churches were beautiful, and the ancient Corinth stop at museum and ruins is not to be missed. We were able to go at the pace our group wanted . Would go with Kostas again.
