You need to buy tickets before arriving in Athens otherwise only the museum is available. There are many steps to get to the top of the acropolis so wear comfortable shoes.

We arrived in Athens on the day of a massive taxi driver/ tour operator strike. All excursions from the cruise ship were canceled, and passengers were scrambling to make other plans. Our Viator booking called us to relieve our concerns that they were fully operational. The driver was fantastic. He chatted with us and discussed the places that would be best for us to visit- the best part of a private car is that you make your own itinerary. He took us to several historic locations and the changing of the guards and still made it to our reservation at the Acropolis with time to spare. He gave us tips for each location and we had conversations about the historical significance of each place. He took us away from the crowds of tourists to an authentic Greek bakery with amazing delicacies and ice-cold drinks. The lack of tourist traffic allowed for several extra locations, and our driver made the most of our time in Athens. Highly recommended!

This tour was just what we wanted, and Dimitrius made it a perfect excursion for us. He did a good job communicating with us beforehand, picked us up at the cruise port right on time in a very comfortable limousine, took us to see all the important sights, and did an excellent job providing both historical background and information about present day life in Athens. He was not only very accommodating and responsive to our needs, but was also fun to be with. We were able to see the changing of the guard, visit the Acropolis museum, see the sights, and have time for lunch in the Plaka.

I 1000% recommend this tour. They were so accommodating and made this tour easy for us. Our time was limited on our way to Italy, so we decided to stop for a day in Athens. Nico, our tour guide, was incredible! We were only in Athens for 24 hours, but with this tour, we feel like we saw everything (Acropolis, Olympic Stadium, changing of the guards, as well as incredible views of Athens!!) This was the best decision we made. They even coordinated a ride to the airport for us so we could maximize our time. I would book this tour again!

We had the most amazing tour guide in Chris. He was prompt courteous, and when our plans went haywire, he went above and beyond to make our memorable and fantastic. If you book with this company, make sure to request Chris. The only complaint I had and it Was partly my fault as I did not know to buy tickets To the acropolis and the museum until the day before make sure you buy tickets early.

Our tour guide (driver) John went out of his way to to make our time with this tour exceptional and personal. He was very flexible and kind and showed us parts of Athens the normal tourist wouldn't see. He even took us to a local fast food eatery where all the drivers eat for a great, low cost lunch. What a wonderful guy who left us with memories of Athens we will treasure forever.

Our guide for the day was Sylvia—having someone like her is the only way to see Athens! We took the tour on Sunday Nov 5th. It turned out to be a free day at the Acropolis. The crowds were crazy so we chose to skip it and go on our own the next day (turned out to be a great decision). Our driver Loukas tried to take us to Zeus' temple but there was a protest going on in the city center so he took us to see the Greek Rivera. There was an air show going on at the time. Overall the tour didn't go at all as planned but Loukas did a great job of changing things up as the day went on. We did get to Zeus and some other sites. With travel you just have to roll with it.

The key to making this a worthwhile tour was having an experienced guide take us to the sites. We were lucky to get a wonderful guide who made all the sights come alive for us and she timed everything so well - even taking us to a very local and very good spot for lunch. The expense of this tour covers only the driver - since the cost of the sights and the guide are all extra. That being the case, this was a very expensive experience - but the only way for us to get the most out of our one day in Athens.

Our driver Yanez picked us up at our hotel right on time.
He showed us where we could pick up combo pass to enter 6 venues
He drove us close and waited for us. Explained overview . He drove us to several other locations and gave us area info.
Truly enjoyed his Company and the entire experience.
The 5 hours flew by.

This was an outstanding day touring the sites in Athens. Our tour guide took us to some sites that weren't listed on the original tour itinerary that gave us a real feel for the history and culture of Athens and Greece.

John our driver was most excellent! He is very knowledgeable and shared his information as we went from site to site. He knew when the best time to visit to avoid the big crowds. I have some mobility issues and he did his best to get us as close as possible to each archeological site. We were very impressed with his professionalism.

We enjoyed a beautiful day in Athens thanks to our driver/tour guide George. We felt he went above and beyond to secure our proper tickets for local attractions and he was always prompt to pick us up at our venues we toured. His rich historical knowledge of Athens and all of Greece he shared with us during our ride between historical sites made our day extra enjoyable. He knew what we wanted to tour or see in Athens and he knew the exact route to make our tours easy and enjoyable. He even recommended some of the best food in town and dropped us off right in front of that restaurant. He was so pleasant and kind to us and we wish we could give him a 10 star rating. If we ever returned, we would hopefully contract with him again. We highly recommend him to tour you through Athens and are grateful he was an amazing driver/guide.

George was a fabulous guide for us. He helped us decide what to do, but left the decisions to us. I have a disability, and he did everything he could to make things easier for me!
