Great tour guide and driver

Roshani_A, Aug 2025
We had an excellent experience with our tour guide and driver. the tour guide was very knowledgeable and she even had laminated pictures for us to understand what we were seeing in Olympia. She explained things well and was very personable. We highly recommend this tour company. One suggestion is to have an over the head microphone so that audio can be clear while presenting the information. Excellent experience so thank you so much for making this day special for our family.

My family of 14 had a lovely time in Olympia! Everyone was pleasantly happy with the stop at Klio's Honey Farm and even the short time to spend at the beach. The Olympic ruins were interesting but so vast that we didn't take the time to see everything, especially since it was sooo HOT! Our tour escort Anastasia was wonderful! She helped us to avoid the crowds at the museum and was very communicative and accommodating. She was also very patient with us since we had a couple elderly grandmas who moved about slowly. Highly recommend!

A gold medal for Olympia

Olympia was our first private tour with Viator so we didn't know what to expect, as it turns out we had nothing to fear. Charis our guide of the area was so helpful and attentive and the guide he arranged for the tour of the ruins was an actual archaeologist!

Great tour to see a lot in short time!

Bonnie_F, Oct 2024
Great tour with amazing places to visit! Olympia was epic! Recommend a professional guide, very good! The honey farm was beautiful, fun, and delicious! Love the family feel and authenticity! Beach was beautiful and a great way to end the day!

Nice!

Our driver is very much accommodating and we enjoyed our tour! The weather was nice too! Our family and friends enjoyed this tour a lot!

Informative fun tour

David_Q, Aug 2024
Had a very nice time. Olympia is a must see site. The tour of the honey farm was very interesting, and the owner couldn't have been nicer. Had a drink at a nice restaurant overlooking the sea. Van was comfortable and guide was friendly.

Great way to see Olympia from Katakolo/Cruise ship port!

Julia_H, Jun 2024
Our half day tour in Olympia was fabulous, Our tour guide Charis gave us lots of information on the area, and after walking around Olympia we stopped at Klio’s honey farm- a must do! It was so fascinating to learn about the bees and ancient processes that are still in use today. Next, we stopped at a local restaurant to grab a gyros, yum! It was hot out so we decided to head back to the cruise ship. If you’re on a cruise, the town of Katakolo looks quaint and had a lot of shops to walk around. Otherwise a half day was the perfect amount of time for our group to see Olympia, the honey farm, and grab a local Greek meal.

Olympia long half day

We were told there would be no guide just driver. We had both and were delighted with the tour. We had a group of 31 and they particularly loved the honey farm- go figure. It was a good time

Highly recommend!

The ancient Olympic ruins and museum is not to be missed. Our guide. Andrew was the absolute best! Born and raised on the island, his knowledge and good nature made our tour priceless. He even finalized our tour by making a stop at his favorite local seaside restaurant so we could enjoy a lovely lunch. I’d highly recommend this tour and a bonus that it is accessible.

Great guide makes for a great day in Olympia

Tina was great! Totally customized the trip for our group of 6. The olive press visit was interesting and the tasting was awesome.

Relaxing day for a change!

We had an amazing time at Olympia, visiting the museum and the ruins. A must do. We had a great time at the honey farm. Really recommend. Our tour guide was really nice and brought is to a great seafood restaurant near the beach. The food amazing of course!

An experience

Granalyn_P, Sep 2023
Our tour guide was so-so. Not much to see in Olympia. The one good thing about having a private tour is that you dont feel rushed at all. Missed the museum because of miscommunication from our guide.

The best of the best

Our guide Constatina was excellent. We had a great time with her. She was an unexpected treasure who was informative, caring and shepherd us around like she was doing it for family.

Delightful Mix

Excellent tour to see Olympia

Nicholas_Z, Jul 2023
Our guide was great. She was very knowledgeable about the area and was great with my overheated kids. Although seeing ancient Olympia was amazing we loved going to Klio's honey farm. It was very cool seeing this farm ran after many generations. My daughter was basically drinking the honey. Such a cool experience.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful time. Harris was the best! After our tour he took us to a family restaurant to try some delicious Grecian dishes. Thank you for a wonderful day!!

Olympia and Honey Farm

Kristin_N, Jun 2023
We were a party of 6 and booked the minivan with driver and guide. The trip was as advertised with a visit to Olympia and we had the option to visit a honey farm or other locations if we preferred. The guide did not accompany us into Olympia and suggested we just spend about 30 minutes walking the site (she did provide us with an illustrated book but I think having an audio guide would have been better to really understand what we were looking at). We opted to go to the honey farm which was an enjoyable local experience. Our guide then asked us what else we wanted to do, which we didn't know as we'd never been there and asked for recommendations, which were hard to come by. We asked about seeing a beach (for scenic purposes and maybe a quick dip in the water for our teen girls) and were driven to a hotel where we felt awkward and obligated to buy refreshments to access the beach. We didn't spend much time there and asked to be driven back to the port instead. In comparing this tour with driver/ guide combo to others we experienced in other cruise ports, I'd say the guide portion was lacking from an information perspective (we didn't learn much from the guide about the region and Olympia).

Wonderful time

Nikki and Palos were great. We enjoyed seeing the Olympic site as well as Klio’s honey farm- she and her family were so welcoming and hospitable- her honey is amazing! We also enjoyed a nice time at the beachside. They were flexible and accommodated our requests. Can’t believe how much we saw in that time. They were wonderful- thank you!

Great Experience!

Great service, nice bus. Dora was flexible, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended. We changed the plan in the middle, and Dora was great about it.

Olympia, Honey farm & Restaurant

Itschak_K, Jul 2019
We were a party of ten, which included four teens, a four year old girl and two senior citizens. We visited in June, during a heat wave. We had a relatively long walk to the beautiful, nicely chilled van, which supplied us with much needed cool water bottles. While the driver did not really speak English, she did seen to understand it, the guide was fluent in English. They brought us to Olympia and introduced us to the booth, where we bought tickets. Even though it is stated that it will be a no-line ticket purchase, that only works with credit cards (which we had). Teens under 18 do not pay and students pay reduced rate, so bring your student IDs. The seniors and some of the teens were not interested in the ruins, but the museum was interesting to all. After our guide-free time in Olympia, we were taken to a nearby local honey farm, where we given samples of local pastries to dip in the farm-made honey and some local drink, made with carrots and oranges. The presentation about history and present bee keeping was interesting, including to our four year old girl, who got to be dressed as a bee keeper. We then bought some far made honey and beeswax based creams. As time was running out, we opted to go to a local recommended restaurant instead of beach time. We were brought back as close to the boat as possible, and the driver even bought a gift for our little girl!

Olympia Private Half Day Tour

Lana_D, Jun 2019
We had an amazing time on this tour! We were treated so well by Stathopoulos Theocharis and our driver. They were very attentive to what we wanted to do and even took us to a lovely Greek restaurant, where we had a great, traditional Greek meal. The honey farm tour was very informative. It was so peaceful and beautiful there and a welcome change from the crowds in the tourist areas. At Olympia, we were given plenty of time to enjoy seeing the ruins. It was amazing to see where the Olympics originated in the 8th century BC. I highly recommend this tour! It was my favorite tour of our trip!
