Good food good facts

We very much enjoyed the food walk. Our guide, Stevie was very informative about some of the history in Reykjavík and about the food at each location. The food was very good, tasty and a good preparation. The only thing we wish we would had a little more of his time at each restaurant to relax and have conversation with the other travelers.

The excursion is packed with several stops so be prepared for a long day but it does wrap up with a relaxing trip to the Blue Lagoon. The driver went out of his way to make the experience was fun even during the drives between stops and he provided additional information about places not included in the trip.

They really put efforts

The rating I am giving based on the efforts they took to take us out of the city at remote places to see northern lights despite having a very cloudy weather. We did not see a very good northern lights but you can't blame the provider for this. On a good day, I am sure it would have been worth it. If you are doing ring road, I would recommend you to wait until your last 2-3 days before purchasing the tickets to know the weather better. As we were able to see the lights from the hotels we stayed at 3 remote locations.

Awesome experience! The lagoon is very warm and relaxing and the rituals are the icing on the cake. Everything is very clean and well organized. I would recommend the private changing room which has private showers, towels, shampoo/conditioner, body lotion and a hair dryer. Take a waterproof phone case if you want to take photos while in the lagoon!

South Coast Tour with Franklin as Tour Guide

Franklin was an incredible guide with deep knowledge of Iceland, and he made the whole experience wonderful. He was funny, friendly, and warm, which made the 10-hour drive along the South Coast fly by. As a local Icelander, he gave the tour an authentic touch that made it even cooler. My favorite stops were the waterfall you can walk behind (Seljalandsfoss), where I got completely soaked and loved it, and the black sand beach (Reynisfjara). It was one of the most memorable trips I've ever taken, and Franklin made it even better. Hotel pickup was also convenient: the minibus collects you directly from your hotel if it's one of the listed pickup locations. I highly recommend this tour, and if you get Franklin as your guide, you'll be in great hands!

Perfect tour of the Golden Circle! The scenery throughout the entire route was absolutely beautiful. Our bus driver, Simon, did an impressive job navigating the roads and made us feel very safe throughout the tour. Plus our knowledgeable guide, Gudjon Jes, shared lots of interesting information about Iceland’s history, culture, and folklore, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Our bucket list is shorter after this tour!

This tour was an incredible experience. We loved traveling virtually the entire south coast of Iceland in a day. The glaciers in the lagoon and on Diamond Beach were magnificent and once-in-a-lifetime experience for us (We did opt for going on a boat ride in the lagoon and, while we don't regret it, we wouldn't do it again. I thought we would be really up close to the glaciers, but we really were not. Plus, they packed the boats really full and people stand up to take pictures making it pretty impossible to see much and enjoy the surroundings). The black sand beach in Vik was insane! We stopped there for dinner and the sunset was glorious. Our driver, Jonas, was willing to answer questions and periodically gave us stories and facts about Iceland. On the way back in the evening, the northern lights were out and Jonas pulled over and showed us how to expertly capture them in photos. What a dream come true! My bucket list is pretty fulfilled after the sites on this trip!

Worth every dollar!

I added this at the last minute as a fourth tour that day. It cost $166USD and was well worth every dollar. I decided to pay for the private package. It is really more of a semi-private situation and included a non-alcoholic drink. Take your time during the seven-step spa experience because once you move onto the next step you can't go back. Then take all the time you'd like in the lagoon.
