What are people saying about Monument Valley

Great tour choice in Monument Valley!
The three hour sunset tour with Michael was wonderful. The tour not only hit all the spots we had heard about in Monument Valley (and many more), but we also got tribal history, his personal experience, clan descriptions and some Navajo language too. Three hours was not enough! Skip doing the drive yourself and take this tour. You see more and learn more than you can on your own.

Visual and cultural experience.
A great visual and cultural experience! The Navajo guides treated us to a traditional flute, drum and singing experience. The park was closed due to flooding from storms the previous day but they took us outside the park to Teardrop and a few other overlooks of the valley.

So friendly
Our guide was knowledgeable , friendly and patient with our sightseeing! We had a wonderful tour of the beautiful valley. The shops were so nice and the shop owners kind . I enjoyed speaking with some of them , as well as the owner of Spirit , the local horse for photos on the point. Would highly recommend!

Navajo Spirit Tour
Well, where to start? Levi was our tour guide, and he was wonderful. You can tell that he lives and breaths his ancestral heritage, as it shines through in every area of the 3 hour tour. The scenery is outstanding & the Navajo lore is so interesting. Also accompanying us was Levi's girl friend & her mother, both of whom are understudying to become tour guides. At what I felt, was the most beautiful spot on the entire tour, Levi played haunting music on his flute, & then the ladies treated us to a song/chant together. All in all, it was a wonderful trip through some of the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen in my 80 years. I would definitely recommend a tour rather then trying to drive the valley yourself. Some of the areas you aren't permitted to drive in on your own, so you would not only miss those views, but you would miss out on a guide's knowledge. I would recommend touring in an enclosed vehicle if you can do so. If it's hot, like the day we were there, the A/C is everything. Plus, if you have old ears it's probably easier to hear what the guide has to say. If you are anywhere near Monument Valley in your travels, this is a magical trip not to be missed.
