We had a wonderful day in Monument Valley with our guide, Will Cowboy. He was informative and took us to all the best photo stops, including places like Ear of the Wind where regular vehicles can’t access. At our last stop, Will played a frame drum and sang a traditional Native American song.
The tour takes you to places not open to the general public. Our guide Sean was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He was also a talented musician, playing a traditional Navajo flute for us. Just be aware that the tour is open air transportation and got very hot and dusty( use sun screen and tie you hat on or you’ll lose it) but worth it to see some of the backcountry of Monument Valley with a Navajo guide.
Fascinating beyond-the-scenes tour by gentleman who partially grew up in the area. He was very generous with his time and information.
You can get dusty from the traffic but not too bad. This is a lot of fun and very worthwhile to do. You see and learn about the Navajo way.
Cowboy was our tour guide & he was great. He was friendly, full of knowledge, great stories & demonstrations. Highly recommend this tour
We had a a great time on the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area.
The guide was excellent. She even played a native american song on her flute for us. Great experience
We'd driven through Monument Valley before and it was spectacular but this tour adds an entirely new dimension to the experience. We now all agree that this tour is a CAN'T MISS opportunity. It was truly one of the best tours that we've ever been on and we have traveled all over the world.
This tour was amazing! Shawn, was our guide and did a great job driving to the sites and explaining the Navajo culture. It’s really such a humbling and beautiful experience. We originally were booked for a 1PM tour but we were running late. The company was so great they allowed us to I’ve to the 6pm, sunset tour. Totally worth it and not nearly as hot as the earlier one. This stop was not on my original itinerary from the Grand Canyon to Arches, but I am surely glad we made this detour. Anyone reading this should book!
Amazing experience! I look forward to coming back!
Thank you so very much for giving us such welcoming time!
Make sure you know where the Navajo Welcome Center is. Dress warmly. Listen to the guide. Be respectful, enjoy the views and if you can, honor the spirits that inhabit Monument Valley.
Tour was great and Larsen was an exceptionally good guide with his wealth of Navajo knowledge.
Highly recommend.
On May 6th we had a great tour with Larson as our guide. He was very welcoming and open to answering all of the questions we asked. He is very knowledgeable about Navajo traditions and and the reservation. We would gladly have listened to the stories he told us all day if we could. What a beautiful Valley to explore and such a well done tour!
My husband and I had Larson as a guide before and I was so glad to have him there when I introduced my sister and her husband to Monument Valley.
Thank you to Navajo Spirit Tours and Larson for a wonderful day!
Amazing guide, great experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Monument Valley Park
Truly an amazing experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I regret I didn’t ask his name so I could commend him.
Our Guide "Will" was so good. Very informative and funny. The stories he told us were amazing . You also get to go in the back country. I would highly recommend this tour.
We were lucky to have a private tour with very friendly guide. I loved listening to the stories. It was worth it and I can recommend it 100%
3 hour tour to places that you cannot access without a guide. Will Cowboy shared Navajo history and his knowledge with us.
Fabulous tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and the views were amazing.
Travelers should note that there is a welcome center and a visitors center. They are not the same. Be sure to go to the correct one.
Our guide was so knowledgeable and we learned so much. What a fantastic experience. I would recommend anyone travelling to the Monument Valley area to book a tour with Navajo Spirit Tours.
Our Guide Shared Knowledge and Stories of his culture . As well , we were able to go down back roads which were Accessable to tour groups only .. so worth it !
Guide was great. They provided that little extra that you wouldn’t get from doing the tour yourself.
We were in an enclosed and comfortable SUV with a wonderful guide who made this tour very fun, informative and memorable. Sariah played her native flute for us at a special cave formation. She was prompt and very helpful.
An excellent tour. Great guide, beautiful day, amazing place. Our guide, Shawn, was very knowledgeable.
Amazing tour of Monument Valley with our Navajo guide Will. He was kind, attentive and shared and showed us many of the Navajo beliefs and tradition. The scenery was spectacular. I highly recommend this Navajo Spirit adventure.
Our guide Sean(sp) was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He answered questions carefully and fully. The scenery was spectacular and breath taking. The small group made it very nice to participate
Monumental! Excellent guide who provided lots of information and clarity in pointing out the names of the mesas. You will learn which were used in movies and TVs. If you are old enough you might even remember seeing them.
We had a great time and the scenery is amazing.
Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. We felt fully immersed in the culture for the day. The place was gorgeous!
You get to travel on restricted roads and get close to monuments. We had Shaun, a superior guide, who shared so much knowledge and history and personal experiences. Shaun’s stories and history felt so personal and I was touched by what I learned. The three hours was like you wasn’t ready for it to end. The Bainbridge afamily
Our guide, Larsen, made the trip incredible. We learned so much Navajo history and saw things like petroglyphs we never would have found on our own. Worth it times ten!
