It is a very harrowing experience. The tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. It is an early excursion so be prepared. We had an estimated time of 8.30 but we were picked up at 5.30 am as they have to have time slots so everything runs smoothly.

Lots of walking - did 10,000 steps and some of ground is uneven. Great tour guide Caspar, who collected me from hotel and provided a great lunch. The tour was very informative but harrowing in places. Booked 7am but got a message the day before saying was being collected at 5:40am.

Auschwitz Birkenau - a deeply sombering experience

This is not an experience for the faint-hearted. It is a deeply sobering and intense experience that is difficult to put into words. The guide was excellent, and the level of detail provided was exceptional, although at times deeply upsetting. No book or film can truly prepare you for being there in person and seeing the sheer extent of human cruelty. The scale of the dehumanisation is almost impossible to comprehend. The driver collected me from my apartment on time and kept me updated throughout the process leading up to the pick-up. Sebastian, our driver, was friendly, professional and spoke excellent English. The minibus was comfortable and clean, with onboard facilities, and the lunch provided was perfectly adequate. Sebastian was also very attentive throughout the day, making sure we were in the correct queues and knew where we needed to be at Auschwitz. The cost included an excellent guided tour of both Auschwitz and Birkenau and, overall, I felt it represented good value for money. This was an incredibly moving and unforgettable experience, and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to visit Auschwitz.

Empathy goes a long way!!!

To see and sense the cruelty was so humbling—-and you come away a changed person! Eugen our driver was so good at making sure we had our personal needs met (rest room, snack, etc). He was interested in each passenger, and provided conversation related to the locale. The sign when you enter Auschwitz says “Those who fail to remember are doomed to repeat this”. We all must rely on our faith in a living God to make sure this doesn’t happen again!

Cheese and vodka tasting...

Cheese and vodka tasting was excellent. Cheese was so good. Funicular ride was lovely especially if you get the front seat. Thermal springs was great but could have spent less time there. Pick up time was nice and easy and less than 2 min walk from the hotel. Lara and our driver were awesome and made it an entertaining trip.

A somber but important experience with a brilliantly put together guide

This experience should be part of required learning for everyone so it is never forgotten. The day was well put together with a collection from our hotel included. The communication regarding collection was timely and clear via WhatsApp. Our driver, Slawek, was very polite and offered to arrange a lunch pack for us as options on site are extremely limited. The tour itself of both Auschwitz and Birkenau was a very somber and quietly reflective experience with excellently clear information provided by our group guide. The tour was very well put together and very efficient. While the subject matter is clearly very emotional, the guide did very well to convey information in a truthful and fact based way, rather than trying to squeeze or elicit an emotional response. I would thoroughly recommend everyone takes the opportunity to visit and take the guide. It should be noted that you will be on your feet for a long time and there is a lot of walking (I think we did around 10k steps while we were there over 3 hours). The ground is not always forgiving either, with a lot of uneven surfaces. Consider this when choosing footwear and for anyone who may have issues walking etc.

Organised with Viator with pick up from hotel. Driver even gave us details of buildings & locations during trip. Speedy entrance to mines. Tour guide friendly and informative. Wear comfortable shoes as a lot of steps down into mine. Temp is approx 18 degrees so quite warm. In awe of the mine and what the workers had to endure to create it. Taken aback at the size of some of the chambers,vast areas all created by hand. Loved that there was such a religious element and atmosphere. Worth going too. Highly recommended and recommend.

Great, informative tour, well organised, great price.

Efficient and well organised. We arrived and departed on time, no issues with any instructions from our guide. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned which was great as it was 33 degrees C on the day of our visit. The only minor issue was that the video player wasn't working so we couldn't watch the introductory film ahead of the visit, I'm not sure how much this adds to the visit but we didn't feel like we needed it as the tour itself was really informative. Recommended, would use this Tour Operator again without hesitation. Thanks!
