Day trip to Auschwitz and Birkenau.
Max, our driver, messaged via WhatsApp to confirm the pick up time and even arranged a packed lunch for us. He was on time and friendly when he picked us up and chatted to us all during the 90 mins trip to Auschwitz. He stopped at a petrol station to allow us a loo break and to pick up a coffee and snacks.
The guide at Auschwitz ( Darla or Daria) was fantastic, she spoke perfect English and took her time to explain everything and answer any questions we had.
We had about 15 mins break between the two camps so we had a very good packed lunch provided by our driver. One was enough between the two of us!
We visited Birkenau with our guide then made the trip back to our hotel. Max stopped on the way back for a loo break and coffee.
Everything ran like clockwork, very well organised.
I found the experience very moving but I am glad I went. I would recommend.
We left at 6am and were back at our hotel around 1pm.

Excellent tour
The pick up was on time and the driver was very informative and friendly. The tour guide at the venue gave a lot of information in a sympathetic manner. There is write a bit of walking involved at Auschwitz museum but most is inside. At Birkenau the walking is outside over approximately an hour. Be prepared for inclement weather. Good updates from Viator prior to the experience.

Well organised and memorable tour
We had a fantastic experience on the guided tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Salt Mines. The guides were incredibly approachable, knowledgeable, and passionate, making the entire experience both informative and memorable. Everything was very well organised, from pick-up to drop-off, which made the day completely stress-free. The whole experience ran smoothly, and we felt well looked after throughout. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a well-organised, informative, and memorable experience. Thank you to the team and guides for such a wonderful job!

This was an excellently...
This was an excellently ran tour. They provided many updates in regards to collection times and needed information ahead of time. Our driver was brilliant and made the tour seamless. He answered all the questions that we had and he was very friendly and professional

A somber but important experience with a brilliantly put together guide
This experience should be part of required learning for everyone so it is never forgotten. The day was well put together with a collection from our hotel included. The communication regarding collection was timely and clear via WhatsApp. Our driver, Slawek, was very polite and offered to arrange a lunch pack for us as options on site are extremely limited.
The tour itself of both Auschwitz and Birkenau was a very somber and quietly reflective experience with excellently clear information provided by our group guide. The tour was very well put together and very efficient. While the subject matter is clearly very emotional, the guide did very well to convey information in a truthful and fact based way, rather than trying to squeeze or elicit an emotional response.
I would thoroughly recommend everyone takes the opportunity to visit and take the guide.
It should be noted that you will be on your feet for a long time and there is a lot of walking (I think we did around 10k steps while we were there over 3 hours). The ground is not always forgiving either, with a lot of uneven surfaces. Consider this when choosing footwear and for anyone who may have issues walking etc.

Appropriately somber and very educational
Our driver, Eugene, was very patient with us as I apparently gave him the wrong hotel name (there are more than 1 hotels in Krakow with the same name) for a very early morning pickup. The pickup was supposed to have been around 7 am, but they had to change it to 5:30 due to the demands of the museum.
Once we got to Auschwitz, our instructions were very clear which is always nice with these tours. He handed us off to Anna who escorted us through Auschwitz and then Birkenau. She was very knowledgable about both and told us that her grandfather was part of the rescue medical team that went into Birkenau after liberatlon to try and help the remaining survivors. Admittedly, Auschwitz is trying to process thousands of visitors every day, but that part of the tour felt rushed. We had to quickly move through some of the blocks, and I don't blame this on her but rather on the sheer need to process that many visitors.

meg and Gary
A lovely day spent exploring the hills of Zakopane and the thermal baths. The trip was so enjoyable and all you have to do is sit back and look at the scenery and put your walking shoes on . Very well organized. The thermal spas were delightful and refreshing and an opportunity to mingle with fellow travellers. I definitely recommend this tour.

Organised with Viator...
Organised with Viator with pick up from hotel. Driver even gave us details of buildings & locations during trip. Speedy entrance to mines. Tour guide friendly and informative. Wear comfortable shoes as a lot of steps down into mine. Temp is approx 18 degrees so quite warm. In awe of the mine and what the workers had to endure to create it. Taken aback at the size of some of the chambers, vast areas all created by hand. Loved that there was such a religious element and atmosphere. Worth going too. Highly recommended and recommend.

If your thinking of it do it you won’t be disappointed
Quite an emotional trip when visiting the camps. So very interesting in the salt mines. Great guides. Our driver Michael ( English version) was fab. Polite friendly well organised and professional. Pick up and drop off as planned. Thoughtful of people who had some walking difficulty. Kept us updated through the day of the itinerary. We were also lucky all of the guests on our mini bus were friendly. Would recommend this experience and company. We took a lunch pack which was also catered for a vegetarian so happy all round.

Great Tour Guide
The transport bus didn’t pick up near my hotel. I had to walk about 2 miles in the heat to catch the bus.
However the bus driver was awesome and the tour guide Anna were very nice and helpful. Our guide was absolutely amazing! She has absolutely provided a 5star tour experience.

Bridget the Tour Guide
Visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau was one of the most moving and emotional experiences I’ve ever had. It’s a place that everyone should visit at least once to truly understand the scale of the atrocities that took place and to honour the memory of those who suffered.
Our guide, Bridget, was exceptional. She was incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and respectful throughout the tour. She shared the history in such a powerful and engaging way, helping us understand not just the facts, but the human stories behind them. Her guidance made the experience even more meaningful, and she answered every question with care and sensitivity.
Although it was a deeply heartbreaking visit, I’m grateful to have experienced it. It is something that will stay with me forever, and I cannot recommend this tour and Bridget highly enough.
