Before booking a pasta-making class in Rome, consider whether you'd prefer an intimate small-group setting or a livelier larger class—both offer different experiences and price points. Check if the class includes market visits to select fresh ingredients or focuses solely on pasta-making techniques, and whether other dishes (like desserts) are included. Most importantly, read reviews to find chefs who are highly rated and provide clear instructions—with pasta making, it’s all about understanding the technique.

The best way to enjoy your pasta-making class in Rome is to arrive with an empty stomach, as you'll be sampling your finished pasta dishes, possibly alongside appetizers and dessert. Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dusted with flour, and consider bringing a small notebook to jot down the chef's insider tips—you could even take photos throughout the process to help you recreate the dishes when you get home.
