Fabulous day in Lisbon!

Gil was amazing! We arrived in Lisbon and Gil picked us up directly across from the cruise terminal. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the history and life of Lisbon. He took us to places with magnificent views and offered up suggestions on where to eat and foods to try. We truly enjoyed our time with Gil and would recommend this tour when you have such a short day to spend in such a beautiful city!

Lisbon highlights

This half day personalized tour met our needs very well. We wanted to see major sights in Lisbon that were outside of walking range and to get a general perspective of the city. Claudia our driver/guide picked us up in a Mercedes van at our apartment and she was extremely polite, personable and provided history and commentary along the way. She adjusted our route based upon our interests and also navigated to avoid road closures and traffic due to a marathon being run.

Fantastic Private Tour of Lisbon with Diogo!

We had a wonderful private tour of Lisbon with Diogo! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, sharing fascinating information about the city’s history, culture, and beautiful landmarks. I have mobility limitations and use a SmartScoot mobility scooter, and Diogo was incredibly accommodating, patient, and attentive to my needs. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the tour and could enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. The private vehicle was very comfortable, making it easy and enjoyable to explore Lisbon. One of the highlights of our day was our visit to learn about the famous Portuguese custard pastries, pastéis de Belém. Hearing the history and tradition behind these delicious pastries was fascinating, and tasting them was even better! They were absolutely delicious and such a memorable part of our visit. Diogo’s knowledge, kindness, and attention to detail made our time in Lisbon truly special. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the tour and appreciated how he made the experience both informative and enjoyable. We highly recommend this private tour, especially with Diogo as your guide! It was a fantastic way to experience Lisbon, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

There was confusion on...

There was confusion on the timing of the tour. My ticket showed a lot more time & coveted more of the city. The PDF didn’t have length of the tour. My online ticket did. As a result, the tour was not as long as I expected. There was also a marathon in Lisbon which had many roads closed & lots of traffic. Our driver did the best he could with the circumstances. He was very knowledgeable & provided a very good tour. The problem was Viator. I thought we were getting a 3 hour tour. The driver said it was 1.5 hours. In the end it was 2 hours due to the traffic. Viator should be more clear in their timing of the tour. I’m disappointed with Viator, not the driver since he was stuck in the middle.

John was a fantastic guide and this is the tour for a panoramic visit to Lisbon, seeing famous sites like the Lisbon cathedral, the old Jewish quarter, the Praca de Comercio, the monument to Christ the King across the Tagus River,a visit to the famous Belem pastry shop and the beautiful architecture and river without toiling up and down the steep winding streets and getting lost.

A full day of fun with our friends on this private tour for six Thanks to our excellent tour guide Ricardo Martins. Excellent driving and route planning that allowed us to maximize our day. Key stops were Pena Palace, delicious lunch in town but away from the tourist areas, a visit to the old town Sintra area for a taste of their pastries, Monserratte Palace, Cabo de Roca Cascais and more. Pick up and drop off at our hotel. Could not have been easier Glad we picked the private tour. We could not have experienced and enjoyed this trip with all these stops if we tried doing it on our own.

Best driver/guide ever! Go early.

Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable. He made the day much better. We left at 7am so we could get there before the crowds arrived. I recommend doing the same because there were thousands of people when we left Fatima at 10:30. Traffic on the highways leading into Fatima was nonexistent when we arrived, but it was backed up for miles when we left.

Perfect evening!

An excellent evening with Padro. Our family of 5 met (kids 17, 13, and 13) had no problem meeting up with him. He was funny, knowledgeable and knew amazing spots for our 6 food stops. One of us was allergic to shellfish and we had a picky kid however this did not hinder the experience! This was our first day in Lisbon and was a great way to start our trip!
