A great evening with the Cairo Dinner Cruise in Nile River

My first time booking a trip with Viator and have to say I was so impressed with Safe Luxury Tour who we booked with. The communication was brilliant, they even sent a photo of the pickup vehicle which was really helpful. Our driver Mahmoud picked us up on time from our air bnb and was so friendly. We were then taken to meet up with our guide Basem who explained the plans for the evening and got us a great table close to the entertainment. All in all it was brilliant, the entertainment was great and the Nile was beautiful by night. I would highly recommend Safe Luxury Tour, such a professional company, and we had a really good evening. Well worth it!

I can’t thank this tour enough for such an amazing experience in Cairo! Our guide was very transparent about what to expect, allowed for us to go at our own speed throughout the day, and was easy to chat with. It was very private, just us four the entire time plus our guide (Zenab) and the driver. The transfer vehicle was luxury, leather seats, roomy, and the cool air was great after walking in the heat. She really helped us understand the tipping culture throughout the whole process and never pressured us to buy anything… which was great! I wish we had more time in the museum, I could have spent the entire day in there, but the amount of time at the pyramids and the extra Egyptian specialty places are great. At first we were worried they were a “got cha” but they truly weren’t… we never felt pressured and enjoyed the experiences. The papyrus place was educational and we bought tons of arts. The driver was safe and talented… if you haven’t been to Cairo driving there is basically an Olympic sport. I will be recommending this to anyone looking to see the ancient wonder of the world.

Words cannot express the wonderful time I had on my tour today with Hamada! What a great guy! As a solo traveler, I was a bit worried going so far out of Cairo area, but from the pick up at hotel to the drop off, I was assured it would be a great and safe time! It really was an exceptional day - worth every penny!

What a wonderful day. Nevin our guide was fantastic and gave us a day which was exceptional. She picked us up on time, avoided all but the odd crowd and ensured we got some amazing pictures across the day. She seemed to know everyone who works across the sites and meant we were able to view or access areas with ease. We wanted to go inside the pyramid which took around half an hour to do and Nevin helped us purchase these extra tickets. It was quite challenging and gets very hot but well worth the experience. Having gone around the sites at Giza we went to the new museum and we were shown around here by Nevin also. At Giza we used the free shuttle bus to move between the sites. Along the way we stopped at a fragrance / perfume shop which wasn’t pushy and we enjoyed some Arabic coffee there too. We saw how papyrus was made, were able again to buy souvenirs without the push and got some nice things. We ate a falafel wrap on the go which was delicious and then helped ourselves to both water and fresh mini mangos, fresh dates and water that were in the car. We started the day with a pickup at 08:30 and got back to the hotel around 18:00. It really was one of those days I will look back on with very fond memories. This tour was fantastic, the whole experience allowed for plenty of social interaction, learning and some breathtaking views of the temples and the Nile. The activities were well paced and varied. Our tour guide was Mohamed Gobran who had an unbelievable breadth of knowledge and enthusiasm that brought the whole experience to life.

I loved the experience! I absolutely enjoyed spending time in the boat, having Khaled as a tour guide and visiting all these magnificent places! The boat was clean and well maintained, the staff responded to any requests promptly, and they even organised a mini birthday celebration for my friend! Everything was great. The only thing is that on the last day instead of prioritising visiting the sights our tour guide took us to visit some overpriced shops, which was fine because it gave me an opportunity to buy souvenirs for my friends and family, but I would prefer to finish visiting all the sights first, and then go shopping. As a result we weren’t given enough time to visit the last temple because we had to rush back home as one of the people on our tourgroup had the bus to catch. Another thing is that on the same day we were taken to a super overpriced restaurant for lunch, we didn’t have a say in choosing the restaurant, the food there was mediocre, we weren’t even given a menu to order, and the end price turns out to be extremely expensive! The food we got definitely wasn’t worth it and it’s a bit upsetting as we trusted our tour guide (probably he gets a commission or something from this restaurant). However, I absolutely loved the personality of our tour guide, so can forgive him this :) as I already said, I absolutely loved the whole experience, and can’t wait to go back! I’m already planning to bring my husband on the same trip! All thanks to Khaled and the amazing boat crew;)

A great day out

A fantastic day. My guide (Ibrahim) was extremely knowledgeable and helped piece together the history of the area. As a solo traveller I found it all very relaxed and timed perfectly. I didn’t have to do what I didn’t want. Just tell the guide what you want. Special thanks to our driver who got us there and back alive!
