Amazing Zaans Schans and Gorgeous Geithorn
Our Tour operator was Eric. It was a wonderful experience since this was a semi private tour with 8 people [group of 6 girlfriends and another couple]. Great opportunity to visit Zane Schans and Giethorn bypassing the tons of tour buses. Eric was very knowledgeable and was able to get us in each tour ahead of the crowds. The skies were a bit overcast and we were all provided umbrellas. We had the private cheese demonstration which was very informative and it was fun being to do the cheese tasting as well. Eric gave us enough time to enjoy each tour as well as shop and enjoy our lunch at Geithorn. He went above and beyond getting us a duffy boat to cruise around the canals and the lake in Geithorn. Our overall tour with Eric was excellent and we thoroughly recommend this experience.

Great tour, informative and casual!
Great tour with a quick stop on the way to Giethoorn to try local produce and chance to shop to fair prices. Our guide Jay was funny and very knowledgeable and it’s a great way to learn about the Netherlands and its history. Our driver Tom drove us safely and started up the aircon way ahead when we were done in Giethoorn so the bus was nice and cool after a few hot hours in the village. The captain of the boat was also very informative and learned us a lot about the village. We also appreciated a stop at the ice cream boat! Thanks for a great experience!

Go with Janos!
If you have a chance, take the tour with Janos. My partner and I start every trip to a new city with a walking tour, so we have been on a lot of them. Janos was one of the two best we have ever experienced. It was a perfect introduction to Amsterdam from a guide who clearly knows and loves the city. Janos us a natural teacher and storyteller. We came away from the tour with an understanding of the city's history and culture, along with a few prized restaurant recommendations. He is also a very charming person who enjoys meeting new people. You can't fake that.

The tour by Alex was a wonderful way to experience more of The Netherlands. With each town we visited, Alex provided context and historic details as we walked through each town’s highlights. Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague each have unique, fascinating qualities which Alex brought to life for us. I enjoy small group tours and this one didn’t disappoint.

Amsterdam is a fantastic base for exploring not only the Netherlands but also neighboring Belgium, as both UNESCO World Heritage-listed Bruges and the capital, Brussels, are easy Amsterdam day trips. Other great day trip options highlight Dutch country classics, from Keukenhof tulips to Zaanse Schans windmills via dams, dykes, cheesemakers, and clog factories. Try porcelain-making Delft, cosmopolitan The Hague, or Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second city for a more urban day out. Whether your tastes run to food or culture, nature or history, there’s an Amsterdam day trip with your name on it.
