This was the best thing we did in Italy. Daniela and her husband were fabulous hosts. We had a great time preparing our food as we listened to stories of their family. They were so friendly and entertaining. The food was also delicious. I highly recommend this excursion.

The provider of our booking - a cooking class at a home in Rome never received our booking from Viator so our transportation never showed up. Will think twice before I use Viator again. Ruined our plans. Some of us booked a different class for the next night with a different company.

Paid for the event through Viator. Day of event host emailed and cancelled. Viator says they will not refund.... Never again with Viator. This was a complete rip-off. No event but still had to pay $260.00. Don't know how Viator stays if business.

Do not book.
We booked this tour based on the good reviews. We waited 45 minutes for the pick up at our hotel as scheduled, and we were ghosted. I messaged the company through three different platforms, with 0 replies. Complete lack of respect to customers, spend your money and time elsewhere.

We waited all week for this cooking experience. The day of the event I emailed host to confirm, who would be picking us up. No response. Went to meeting spot 30 min before pick up time - host was a no show. Total disappointment.

We had a wonderful time with Daniella and her family. They were so kind and welcoming, by the time we left, we felt we had family in Italy. We particularly enjoyed the many stories that they shared with us about their family, truly a special family. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with the family. We used their offer to have a driver pick us up from our hotel and also return us and we are very thankful that we did that This was a very unique experience that I would highly recommend.

This was our favorite experience in Rome. Spending time in Daniela and Mario's home, getting to know one another while cooking, eating, drinking and even dancing was so much fun. Nicolo was beyond generous, thoughtful, and most of all kind.

Great to have the option for Nico to pick you up. Tells you about the family on the way so you already “know” them on arrival. Great story how this all started - you’ll have to have Nico tell it. Truly a family opening up their own home to cook for and with you. You cook as much or as little as you wish. Like family dinners used to be with everyone around the table!

I travel quite frequently. When my family and I go on a trip we always try and find a cooking class/experience while we are there. I always try and find one that is in a private home vs a restaurant etc… The majority of the time we have had a good to great experience. I have used private concierge services, travel apps and various recommendations to book these. It can be a leap of faith though so if this review helps anyone ‘on the fence’ about booking the class at Daniela’s home in Rome I can’t be more enthusiastic or recommend it more highly. We just had our class yesterday, we are still in Rome and I couldn’t wait to review this experience any longer. We had the BEST time, the BEST experience and made the BEST memories. We truly feel like we were part of the family. The charm, warmth and genuine kindness was beyond anything we could have hoped for. We met family friends, aunts, daughter, son-in-law.. all lovely and inviting. We had an amazing meal and even homemade limoncello. Even if the food hadn’t been delicious (it was!) it would have been worth every penny just to spend another afternoon with these delightful people. This was our favorite travel experience ever, and we travel a lot. We had so much fun with Daniela, Mario, Nico, and Lorella!. They made us feel like family. We feel we have made friends for life. Amazing time our group of 6 had. Nicole and his family were so warm and fun. They made us feel like part of the family. Great food but the highlight was getting know the family and hearing their stories. One of the best things we did on our vacation. Highly recommend if your looking for an authentic Italian experience.

This is a wonderful, intimate, familial, and fun experience to try when coming to Rome. We had a 2.5 year old toddler and she lasted through the entire 3 hours. The D’Elia family open up their beautiful home and make you feel comfortable and are just a lovely family. A home cooked meal with fresh and real ingredients and getting to know a family, this is a gem!

From the moment we booked with the “Casa Club”, Nicolo, Daniela’s son, was so attentive to every detail. While we did help prepare delicious dishes with the D’Elia’s, the cultural experience and opportunity to connect with this authentic, loving family, was quite possibly the highlight of our 10 day trip. We looked at photos, told stories, laughed, and laughed some more. The food was outstanding but the relationships formed will last a lifetime. If you are considering booking, don’t hesitate, don’t delay. This is a must do if you are going to be in Rome!

This was so much fun! Nicol, Daniela and Mario will make you feel like part of the family. You will spend time cooking a delicious meal and spend even more time talking, laughing, and getting to know each other. They were happy to provide tips to recreate this meal at home. After two weeks of rushing to meet trains, flights and tours this was a perfect way to relax and finish our vacation.
Take advantage of the hotel pick up service. I think public transportation would be diffulicult and a taxi would be more expensive.

We loved learning to make gnocchi and saltimbocca. The homemade chocolate gelato was amazing and lemoncello was perfect.. we enjoyed visiting with Daniela, Lorella and Nicolò. They made us feel at home - just like family.❤️

Such a beautiful experience! Nicolo picked us up easily from our Airbnb, and we arrived in a quaint neighborhood outside the city centre. We enjoyed great conversation, and his mom and aunt kept the foods and drinks flowing the whole time! My teenagers said this was one of their favorite experiences in our two weeks in Italy. Learning how to make the meatballs, bruschetta, and pasta was really enjoyable! Then homemade limoncello! Will miss our new Italian familia!

We had an amazing time at the private Cooking Class at Daniela’s home. Nicolo, Mario, and Daniela were so welcoming and kind. It was such a special time as we shared, laughs, stories ,and the most delicious meal.

We had a great time at the Private Cooking Class at Daniela’s Home. Nicolo picked us up at our AirBnB as scheduled and drove us to his family’s home. There, we enjoyed great food and company. The whole family was very warm, welcoming, and friendly and we felt like we were visiting with long-time friends, and all the food was delicious. We hope to see them all again on future visits to Rome.

Wonderful evening with a delightful family! Definitely take advantage of the pick-up service they offer. Getting there by public transport would be a challenge. We really enjoyed our evening with the family -- lots of laughs, the warmest welcome, and yes, very good cooking and eating!!!
