What are people saying about Kusadasi

Private tour for 1/2 the price.
We went in Sept. 2026 and really enjoyed it! It was half the price of the Princess cruise tour and was private with just the two of us. We paid $85 for the two of us which included lunch. In addition we paid for the admission tickets to Mary’s House, Ephesus and St John’s Basilica. The original tour listing did not include the Terrace Houses but they had no problem adding them, we just had to pay the additional entrance fee. We were able to get to Mary’s House before all the buses showed up. The tour included a nice lunch at a rug weaving coop with a restaurant. We had the choice after lunch whether to see a rug weaving demonstration which we found really interesting. A rug sales pitch followed but there was no pressure to buy. If not interested you can just say no to the demonstration. Having a private tour was the way to go since we had control over the entire day. Our guide gave us a great recommendation for where to get baklava near the ship after our tour was over.

Ephesus with Kaya
Kaya is an excellent tour guide that is highly knowledgeable on the history of the area and quite pleasant to speak with. This tour was an excellent choice which allowed us time to see Ephesus, House of Mary, Temple of Artemis, School for Turkish Rug making (yes we bought a beautiful hand woven rug), had Turkish coffee, ate an authentic Turkish lunch, saw some potters in action and made it back to the cruise ship in plenty of time!! I highly recommend this Tour guide Kaya and this tour for cruisers!!

Great tour of Ephesus!
We had a great private tour of Ephesus and Terrace Houses today from the Port of Kusadasi with our most wonderful and knowledgeable guide Funda plus a very safe driver. I had specified when booking what I did and didn't want to see on the tour and the day went smoothly, finishing off with a yummy Turkish lunch then back to the port. I would highly recommend booking this tour supplied by Tour Altiinkum as their communication was excellent and they supplied a very comfortable van for the two of us and hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Funda as your guide.

Interesting tour
We found Neslihan quite easily she was an amazing guide we learned a lot about the Turkish people the ancient city. Rug making, Turkish food, deserts and coffee.. Although, you do feel a bit pressured because you are taken to places where they will eventually try and sell you items they make or have in their store.. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Nesli.
