Book with Miguel!
If you’re visiting Portugal and planning to explore the country, you absolutely need to book with Miguel! He was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and thorough from start to finish. From the moment we booked our full-day Sintra tour, Miguel was on top of everything, communicating with us to confirm all the details, including our start time and pickup location. Once the tour began, he was fantastic! He shared so much knowledge, history, and fun facts about every location we visited or passed along the way, making the entire experience that much more enjoyable. As an added bonus, you also get your own personal photographer! Miguel made sure our entire group got amazing photos at all the best photo spots, so we could capture the memories together. He also seemed to know everyone at each stop, which allowed us to bypass the lines and make the most of our time. It was clear that Miguel had put a lot of thought into every little detail, from the order of the itinerary to finding ways to minimize unnecessary walking. Everything was so well planned, allowing us to see as much as possible while making the day feel seamless and stress-free. I truly cannot recommend Miguel enough! If you’re coming to Portugal, do yourself a favor and book a tour with him. You won’t regret it! I will 100% be booking with Miguel again on my next visit to Portugal!

The half day Sintra tour...
The half day Sintra tour is the perfect overview if you want to get a snapshot of Sintra and its history. Bruno is super knowledgeable and we only scratched the surface of what he had to offer! He gives you the most important facts and makes it easy to remember the key facts but can just as easily any burning questions you might have.

Pedro did a wonderful job...
Pedro did a wonderful job of creating a personalized tour of Sintra and Cascais. We ended up having an incredible day exploring the Quinta de Monserrate, the National Palace of Sintra, and Quinta da Regaleira! We skipped the iconic Pena Palace since we visited on a previous trip, but Sintra has so many amazing places to discover that there is always something new to see. Both Quinta da Regaleira and Quinta de Monserrate reflect the extraordinary wealth and imagination of the people who built them. The intricate architecture, elaborate gardens, and incredible attention to detail represent investments of money and craftsmanship that are almost unimaginable today. One of the highlights was Quinta da Regaleira, with its 20-meter-deep Initiation Well and network of man-made tunnels and caves designed to create an almost sacred, mystical atmosphere. On our way back, we made a stop in the beautiful coastal town of Cascais to round out another memorable day in Portugal. Sintra is truly a destination where history, architecture, and imagination come together!

Perfect guide-very personable and knowledgeable
We were told not to miss Pena Palace in Sintra and so glad we explored it. Ricardo was so right in telling us that the best part was the outside and that we did not need to go inside. Walking around on the walkways, up the steps and through the palace was perfect! Also, since my husband and I as well as our friends are in relatively good physical shape, Ricardo recommended that we walk through the forest to the palace. This was a beautiful walk! On the way to the palace, Ricardo stopped for us to look at the outside of some beautiful houses and Biester Palace. Ricardo recommended a family restaurant for lunch. Later we went to a vista to see where Madonna used to live as well as other palaces. Then off to the most western point of Europe for a photo op. The next stop was Cascais where the marina is beautiful! The only negative was that the van was older and the side window did not totally shut so with the wind coming in, it was difficult to hear Ricardo talk while he was driving. On the way back to Lisbon, Ricardo drove through Belem-a place that I had wanted to visit but there was not enough time. He pointed out the highlights of the city. We had a lovely day!
