What are people saying about Sao Miguel

Amazing experience!
Ze and Alberto were the perfect combination of fun but also safe. My girlfriends and I had a great time. I was nervous but wanted to do it all. They took care to know all of our names and made me excited to keep going throughout the adventure. Good level of adrenaline and suspense. Great communication throughout from getting our sizes for harness, shoes, wetsuits and helmet provided prior to arrival and throughout. Loved the pictures/videos we received within 24 hours. Strongly recommend the earlier day experience because the parking lot gets crowded. Beautiful scenery, waterfalls, and hike. Thank you for making our 50th birthday trip memorable!

Exhilarating, beautiful day,!
So awesome! The dolphin pods were cruising right past our boat. Watching a baby jump out of the water was the best. You aren't swimming "with" dolphins really. The boat is positioned in front of the direction the dolphins are swimming , you drop in, and hopefully they dive and swim right under you. You can watch them with your snorkel mask. The thrill of dropping into the water at the right time plus watching them above from the boat was exciting and wonderful.

After having to...
After having to unexpectedly cancel a previous booking due to being soaked through in a storm just before reaching the meeting point, Azorean Tales kindly allowed us to rebook with a very short notice. The trip we then had with our guide Carlos was wonderful. We enjoyed the many stories about life on the azores, a delicious lunch and nice explanations on the ananas and tea plantations, and the hot springs. Very full day, but such a nice experience.

Beautiful trip !
It was a great experience and an enjoyable drive on the big catamaran boat. The guides and the marine biologist Narea were full of interesting information. You could see there passion for the beautiful wildlife. We took the morning trip and were able to see a sperm whale (Dotty) and a group of spotted dolphins. The view of the island was also very nice to see.

Sao Miguel, the largest island in Portugal's Azores archipelago, boasts stunning volcanic landscapes and lush scenery. Sao Miguel tours take you into the heart of the island to fully appreciate this natural setting—from exploring the crater lakes of Sete Cidades and the thermal baths of Furnas to canyoneering through waterfalls. The island’s marine life takes center stage on trips that focus on whale-watching, snorkeling, and swimming with wild dolphins, while cultural experiences help you discover local dishes.
