Excellent trip

Super tour we had Joaquim as our tour guide and he was full of knowledge, very friendly and really took care of us. Lunch was delicious with plenty of the traditional food and drink. After lunch we had 2hrs at the botanic garden and thermal pools so had plenty of time to have a wander around and enjoy all three pools.

A great tour!

We had a group of 8 with John, our tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. John was informative and never boring. He also added a lot of humor, always a plus. He offered to take our photos at every stop too. The buffet lunch was excellent, local cuisine of beef, lamb, octopus, squid, and more. Most of us sampled the included local wine and beer. I feel like we learned a lot about the area, great tour!

More than a food tour (which was wonderful), it s also a walking tour of Ponta delgada. We learned a lot about the island, the people and history. Our guide Marco was well versed and answered every question. Then, the food: Excellent. Marco had an assistant who went a head to the next food stop to order food and have our table waiting. When we arrived, we sat immediately and were provided sampling of wonder Azorian dishes. No disappointments at all. Also, the meeting place by the city gates were impossible to miss and an easy, easy walk from the cruise terminal. 5 stars everywhere...

We had an absolutely wonderful day with Jose Miguel as our fantastic tour guide. Jose is so knowledgeable about the island, having grown up here and raised his children here. He took us to so many beautiful locations, with such a diversity in geography and interests. The short hikes were perfect, the food at the lunch restaurant was delicious and abundant, the breakfast pastry shop was really yummy, and most of all the views were amazing! We had lovely co-tourists and really got to know the whole island so well. You should definitely do this tour!

We took a four wheeler and had an amazing time. It was the biggest the roads on the island felt for us since we got here. Our guide was one of the most patient kind people you could ever find and had great information at the stops. Went with my brother for his 50th birthday. We had a blast. Due to some no shows we basically had a private tour so that made it extra special. The guides themselves Thomas and Alberto (I think) were the stars. So friendly and warm like they were our buddies just having a blast in nature. Two thumbs up for sure. The ultimate private tour!

Carlos was very kind, knowledgeable, caring and flexible. He picked us up at the cruise ship dock on time and toured us all around at our pace. He explained the historic and significant spots of interest and answered all of our questions. When we needed to stop for a restroom and lunch he gave us our choice of options. Carlos is the man! And the Azores are just amazing! Lastly he got us back to our cruise ship in plenty of time.
