Unforgettable Porto to Lisbon Adventure

What an incredible way to travel from Porto to Lisbon! We landed in Porto that morning and, instead of simply making the drive south, Josephi helped turn the entire day into an adventure. My daughter had chosen four places she wanted to visit along the way, including Costa Nova, Aveiro, Nazaré, and Óbidos, and Josephi made everything incredibly easy. He knew exactly where to park, the best places for photos, where to find good and affordable food, and offered great recommendations throughout the day. At each stop, he dropped us in the perfect location, gave us the freedom to explore on our own, and then met us when we were ready to continue. I honestly can’t imagine trying to do everything we did that day on our own. We were able to see and experience so much without any of the stress of navigating, parking, or figuring out logistics. Josephi was friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and a very safe driver. By the time we arrived in Lisbon that evening, we felt like we had experienced an entire vacation day rather than just a transfer between cities. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone traveling between Porto and Lisbon. It was convenient, personal, and one of the best adventures of our trip!

We had a fun day...

We had a fun day exploring the Douro Valley on this tour. We started the day with a relaxing cruise on the Douro River which included a drink and snacks. We then visited one winery where we learned about wine making in the region followed by tasting in a beautiful location with an incredible view of the Douro River. This was followed by a delicious lunch with free flowing local wine and port. Perfect combination of food, wine, scenery, and sightseeing. Rui was a wonderful guide and driver—friendly, knowledgeable, and great sense of humor. He made the entire day feel relaxed and enjoyable, while sharing interesting information about the Douro Valley along the way.

This Tuk Tuk tour could not only get into many corners of the city otherwise too narrow but also spares you some extensive hill climbing. Our Guide, Leandro treated us to some “secret” vistas as well as the well known sites. He provided personalized commentary and was genuinely friendly and enthusiastic.

Scenic and exciting tour

Rear seats were somewhat uncomfortable and the seatbelts were difficult. This isn’t luxury, but it was full of history and culture. Our driver was raised in Porto and gave the tour his personal touch. We spent 4 hours going all the way to the ocean on both the Gaia and Porto sides of the river. Excellent tour.

Perfect length of tour of Duoro area!

Very worthwhile tour that stills leave you the late afternoon and evening for more sightseeing, or relaxing time . We went to a Fado event and dinner that evening. Small group (8) definitely the way to go. Met new people over a nice lunch after winery tour which was wonderful. Overall a great day out seeing the Duoro valley.

Worthwhile excursion from Porto.

You will see a lot of interesting areas and hear the history of the colorful fishermen’s homes. If If you have a free day in Porto, this tour is worth taking! Riding the Venetian gondola was interesting. Sit in the middle of the gondola otherwise you may not hear the tour leader as he points out sites in various languages. The pick up point was hectic because not clear to the travelers. We were told to look for « a guide wearing red ».
