Really cool experience! Feels a little rushed but everything was great! Tour guides were helpful and they do pick up and drop off depending on the area you’re at. Tacos and tequila were amazing, only options are vegetarian or pork. Just be aware to bring sunglasses and a face cover for the atv otherwise you will have to buy some. Lockers are also $5USD.

The first thing I would like to do is praise Luis, our friendly, informative, and slightly voluble guide. Luis always has an answer to any question, no matter how obscure. We were very impressed with how deeply informed he was on Mayan culture. It's always nerve-wracking to show up at an unmarked street corner and wait for a tour guide, but Luis was there, right on time. The selected location was extremely convenient. We were coming from Isla Mujeres and had to cross on the ferry to be picked up and Luis was there on the dot. We had a short ride in a very comfortable, if crowded mini-van to meet the main bus. Both vehicles had good suspensions and powerful air-conditioning, vital to a couple of overweight folks who have NOT acclimated to Mexican spring weather. The bus ride from Cancun was about two and a half hours. The seats were fairly comfortable over all, although we could have done with more leg room. The bus also had a sparkling clean bano but we were asked to reserve it for "number one emergencies." Our first stop was at an art colony. We were provided with an opportunity to buy a personalized Mayan Calendar, the purchase of which would go to supporting primary education for the children of the village. We also got to observe a Mayan ceremony. It was not a religious ceremony, per se, but, as near as I could understand, a sort of "aura" or "energy" cleansing ritual. Luis spoke in both English and Spanish, and as a result, spoke really fast. The art offered for sale was gorgeous, if somewhat expensive. Our next stop was the Chichen Itza temple and grounds. In 2009 they banned climbing the temple or going inside. Tourists were leaving way too much graffiti. (IMHO, "one" is way too much graffiti for a World Heritage site.) Bring or rent an umbrella. It was 105F on the "ball field" and the grounds in front of the main temple, and were there in APRIL. You will want the shade. Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate. There is water for sale half way from the bus to the Temple and AT the Temple. The experience was completely worth the discomfort if you have ANY interest in ancient civilizations in general or the Maya in particular. While our spirits were willing, our bodies weren't quite up to the heat and jungle humidity, and one by one we sought the shade and sat down. I could have spent about 3 - 4 hours exploring the site, but in the heat and humidity we couldn't manage and wound up dropping out after about 90 minutes. As it was, we had almost the exact amount of time at the ruins before it was time to head back. The lunch buffet provided was a delicious medley of local dishes crafted with local ingredients. There were two soups, three different proteins, and a small assortment of starches. The only improvement I could think of would be some REALLY COLD fruit. The Cenote was well timed. After the heat at the Temple, jumping into the 74F waters of the Cenote was incredibly refreshing. The facility was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the language barrier was surmountable. This was a day well spent. To sum up: Bring water. Buy water. Bring shade. Wear sunscreen. Pace yourself in the jungle. Take lots of pictures.

I did the shuttle service and it was super punctual! there are free lockers once you get to the site so feel free to bring a bag or something. they say you can't bring professional cameras on the balloon but they let me bring on my small dslr so i think that depends on who you are. if you are over the weight limit, i believe you are charged by however much you are over the weight so be mindful of that!

The crew was amazing! The time was enjoyable from boarding to exiting. I thought it was suppose to last until 4 but we were back an hour or so before. No complaints though because I think our whole crew would have been deliriously drunk had we been there another 20 minutes. All I can say is a time was had!

Experience is as described ! Staff was very helpful knowledgeable ,kind and patient. Bring water !! In a thermo or something cause it gets HOTTT!! Barbara was a great guide along side the chauffeur and her other colleagues. Picture that were taken were also very beautiful . I’m definitely recommending !!

We had such a great experience! We booked the hot air balloon and round trip transportation from CDMX, which was seamless. Our driver Hebert was personable and got us to and from safely. I appreciated that they let us get picked up at our Airbnb. The flight itself was incredibly smooth and our pilot Alejandro R. was great. It’s a little chilly that early in the morning so I suggest bringing a light jacket. Seeing so many balloons over the sunrise was incredible. Overall, such a wonderful experience! Certainly worth the trip from CDMX.

We had a wonderful time at Mr. Sanchos. The water was lovely, waiters were so friendly and kept the food and drinks coming, especially Limbert. There were plenty of pools and the restrooms were well attended. We didn’t get to do the kayaking because of the wind, but we really felt like we got more than our moneys worth.

Highly recommend! Expect a long travel time depending on where you come from (should be less time if you’re close to Playa del Carmen) but it’s worth it. Round trip too. You don’t have to buy items at the shop (glasses, masks, water shoes) if you don’t want to. They aren’t absolutely necessary. The Basic package was enough for a amazing time. We bonded with other tourists during tequila tasting, cheered on everyone who was brave enough to cliff jump into the cenote (it’s quite high up so it does hurt a bit on impact with the water). 5 shots of tequila right before was our liquid courage. Lifejackets are enough for people who can’t swim to float and enjoy with others. You can take your own pictures and videos at the cenote, and you can sit out activities if you want. Water shoes aren’t absolutely necessary. There will be lots of dust during ATVs if it doesn’t rain for a few days. Bring sunglasses at minimum. Zipline was simple but fun, right after the ATVs. There was a fire show while we ate our two tacos (larger menu is available if you want to buy drinks or more food). Alan was our guide and he was great. Overall it was fantastic and so worth the price (much more affordable than the options through the hotel vendors).
