What are people saying about La Fortuna

So much to see and a great guide on beautiful property.
Derik was a wonderful guide for our morning sloth and monkey tour. He was personable and so knowledgeable-- and amazing at spotting sloths. He not only explained the animals on the property, he also did a great job explaning their habitat and the many plants and insect species we encountered. It was our lucky day-- we also saw a lot of monkey activity! Highly recommend.

Amazing Night Walk in La Fortuna
I had an amazing night walk in La Fortuna with Wildlife Tours Costa Rica! I spotted frogs in their natural habitat, snakes, tarantulas, “sleeping” hummingbirds, and even an invasive Australian frog—so many fascinating sights in one tour. Our guide, Jorge, was knowledgeable, engaging, and always put our safety first. The company provided all the necessary gear and flashlights, which made the walk comfortable and easy to enjoy. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves nature and wants to experience Costa Rica’s wildlife after dark!

What a fun day!!!!
William and Marvin are great guides. They kept us up to date with the itinerary and shared the cultural and historical significance at each stop. We got a legit ecology lesson from William at Arenal. He explained how after the volcano eruption, the surrounding landscape and climate created a unique and very favorable climate that led to the rapid growth of a very biodiverse forest/jungle. Typically this would take hundreds of years but at Arenal, this only took 50 years. Anyway, both William and Marvin are wonderful guides, and our driver, Cha Cha, drove us around safely. It was a pleasure to spend a day with this crew.

Coffee and chocolate - what else do you need?
This was a very interesting and informative tour. You might have a general idea of how coffee and chocolate are made, but it was nice to learn about the details and intricacies of the process. We got to try lots of samples of chocolates and coffee and they have a nice shop too. Fun experience!

Boasting easy access to an inactive volcano, gushing waterfalls, and white-water rapids, La Fortuna is a popular base camp for outdoor adventures. And with the right booked excursion, nothing is off-limits. La Fortuna tours can safely lead you to your next adrenaline rush, whether it’s climbing to the soaring peak of Arenal Volcano, ziplining through the rainforest, or rafting the Sarapiqui River. If extreme adventure isn’t your thing, don’t fret. More relaxed options like guided nature walks or coffee and cacao tastings let you experience a quieter side of pura vida.
