Proyecto Asis Wildlife Rescue Center Tours and Tickets

The Day Tour to the Asis wild animal rescue center outside of La Fortuna, is a great way to learn about wildlife protection and see Costa Rican animals up close.The tour begins with an explanation of the importance of the center’s goal of preserving wildlife populations in the face of illegal hunting and natural habitat destruction. Asis works with non-profit organizations, goverment entities and environmental agencies to save animals, return them to the forest when possible, and educate visitors about multiple species in danger of extinction and other topics related to their welfare. The Asis tour with volunteering provides the opportunity for visitors to not only see the facilities and wild animals but to assist in the rehabilitation process. You will learn about the center’s dedication to the protection of the incredible diversity of life in the Costa Rican ecosystems and the mission to save wild animals and reintroduce them into their natural habitat.

Enjoy a 1.5 hour tour through Arenal Volcano National Park, La Fortuna de San Carlos, and learn all about sloths. These little animals are threatened and may soon be extinct, due to destruction of their habitats. Your guides are passionate about the sloths and eager to teach you all about why they should be protected.
