What are people saying about La Fortuna

We had a blast and...
We had a blast and recommend doing this activity if you’re visiting La Fortuna. Our guide Braulio made the experience so much fun! Everything included from the hotel pick up, stops for refreshments, fresh fruit in the middle, and the traditional lunch at the end were all appreciated. It was easy for beginners on our boat and exhilarating for the more experienced individuals at the same time.

Rafitng with Ronald
Our family had a blast on the river with Ronald as our guide. We saw lots of wildlife, including 3 sloths. The lunch provided was fantastic and we learned about the coffee production in Costa Rica as well as extracting sugar from sugar cane and feeding a variety of farm animals. This was much more than just a rafting trip. Very safe for all ages with a bit of an adrenaline rush as you would expect.

A great tour experiencing...
A great tour experiencing all the highlights of La Fortuna. Our guide, Kat, was amazing and showed us so many great creatures, including a monkey, sloth, toucan, frogs—none of which we would have seen without her expert eyes. We were lucky that we had perfect weather to see the Arenal Volcano and get great pictures, the Hanging Bridges were fun and where we saw the most creatures, and the Arenal Waterfall was great. Yes, you have to go up and down 500 steps (but you know that going into it and it isn’t that bad); you should bring water shoes to traverse the rocks at the waterfalll/river. Great tour, Kat is amazing. Thank you!

Highlight of our La fortuna aventure!
Rappelling: AMAZING GUIDES! Made the experience memorable. I was scared of the rappelling but it's one of those things that you overcome the first one, have a blast, and the can't wait to do the rest! Only recommendation for everyone is to wear rubber hiking-like boots instead of water shoes. I felt the soles of my swimming shoes wasnt thick enough and didn't have enough grip and I felt every rock and kept slipping off rocks. Also don't wear glasses, the currents will definitely knock them off. Wear contacts if needed. Photos available for purchase. Towels, lockers and bathroom available. A burrito, plantain chips and juice snack was given in the shuttle ride to next activity. Rafting: Alot of fun, our guide Aurelio was a great and funny guide! Water shoes are best for this activity. They provided freshly cut pineapple and water melon fruits in the middle then a buffet style lunch afterwards.
