Fantastic experience. A challenging hike that really paid off. We were fortunate enough to have great conditions for the sunrise and our guide gave clear instructions so we knew exactly what to expect with target times for specific spots on the route.

Horst (sorry if not spelled right!) and Fransisco were great guides. Horst knew everything you could possibly think to ask him and was so passionate about the animals. I think he explained in detail about everything we saw in about 5 !? Languages. I am quite nervous on water but I felt really safe and secure on the tour, especially because the guide was so knowledgable about the animals. It was such a great tour and experience. A great day! The tour was wonderful and having the roof off the top of the jeep was so fun! Be sure to book the levada walk when they message you so you have the QR code before it sells out. The walk is super easy, but so cool and the view is great! Even added in a secret location because we had a little extra time! Definitely recommend if you don’t have a car to check out these locations!

What a brilliant way to see the west side of this beautiful island! We had an amazing day out visiting various points of interest. Our host Neli was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable. My 7 year old loved the shortcuts where we got to stand up in the open-top jeep! Other highlights included the thrill of standing on the glass floor at Cabo Girão, having a wander in the misty Fanal forest, and swimming in the volcanic pools at Porto Moniz. Would highly recommend this tour!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Madeira! The half-day private island tour was the perfect way to experience so many of the island’s breathtaking viewpoints and beautiful landscapes without feeling rushed. This is a roadtrip to the area surrounding Funchal in a jeep. You will be seated in the back of a jeep: and need to be able to climb into and out of it. The position can be uncomfortable if you have knee pain or other leg issues , definitely not good for customers with mobility issues. The road trip was a lot of fun as you travel inland thru roads, narrow streets, up steep slopes and eventually off-road thru a forest! We enjoyed our tour of Madeira! Wish there was more information with the trip, like data about the island and since when it was inhabited, etc.

My girlfriend and I had an incredible tour of the western part of Madeira with Miguel. We were lucky enough to be the only guests, which turned the day into a fantastic private experience. Great communication from On Tales up through the morning of the cruise. Had about ten people on the boat during our 10:30 expedition - everybody fit more than comfortably. Beatriz and Bruno were friendly, knowledgeable and skilled and were very up front with the days conditions and expected sightings. Cruised off Calheta for a while chasing a few dolphins which we managed to see, although they were feeding at the time and not in a bigger school. Lovely ride across long, gentle waves along the scenic south coast. Stop near Porta Do Sol for some swimming and the place lived up to its name with the sun in full effect. Refreshments during the cruise and full access to all areas of the boat. Even with minimal dolphin and whale activity it was an exceptional day on the water. Highly recommended especially if you prefer a smaller group setting than the larger tourist boats!
