What are people saying about Vik

We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Iceland. It was unforgettable from start to finish!
The Viator team and Troll Expeditions customer service were absolutely outstanding in accommodating our last-minute tour date change after we got a flat tire on the way. They made a stressful situation so much easier and truly went above and beyond for us. The cave tour was even better than we expected! The Super Jeep ride was incredibly fun, and the scenery along the way was absolutely breathtaking. The cave itself was much bigger than we imagined, and being able to climb the glacier/volcano was truly the highlight of our trip to Iceland. Our tour guide, Net, was absolutely incredible — patient, knowledgeable, and so passionate about the experience. He gave us plenty of time to ask questions and took tons of amazing pictures for us throughout the tour.

Amazing Glacier Hike
Lucas our guide was absolutely amazing! He was very patient and did an excellent job of ensuring our group stayed together. He was also super funny and made the hike interesting. I highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking of doing it. This was definitely the highlight of our Icelandic adventure.

Good to go
Great experience. 28-04 Ice cave in general is good for a short trip and for some nice photos. The travel from a monster bus in itself is a fun and on top the live commentary by our tour guide was amazing. Outside the cave itself you will find in midst of black sands (more like gravels), with all over blackened background including mountains with some snow on top.

Vik may not have an exciting name—it just translates to “bay” in Icelandic—but this town on the southern tip of Iceland is anything but boring. Sign a waiver, and within minutes, Vik tours will have you riding in a buggy along the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, exploring an ice cave under Katla Volcano, or snowmobiling above it on Mýrdalsjökull, the country’s fourth-largest glacier. Ziplining, paragliding, and kayaking (in a glacial lagoon) are all options if you go with a guide.
