This is a very personal and informative tour by a scholar and professor, who knows more about the Diocletian Palace of Split than probably anyone in the universe. Professor Vedran Mastosic is amazing, fun and approachable as he led us through this amazing city in the walls at this ancient palace and Fortress. He actually also has a book for sale at the end which I highly recommend. If you can also visit the ruins of solana afterwards. Five stars.

Great from start to finish

From start to finish the trip was great! At the beggining of the day, weather was not the nicest (not their fault - we followed the forecast and it was supposed to be sunny) however crew made up for the clouds with their enthusiasam, good music and overall energy. All of the locations were beautiful - first stop nice to swim off the beach, beautiful Blue Lagoon to swim snorkel and get served with fresh lunch (I got the chicken option) and the last stop with a small village on the island. The crew showed us the most amazing gelato place and demonstrated how to play “ballote”, local kind of bowling game. The boat is in great condition, comfortable and clean! There are 4 toilets actually and they are clean and taken care of all the time be the crew. We were able to roam around the boat and the rest of my group is today was great people so as a solo traveler I both got friendly with the people at my table and around. I am glad I did this tour and I would recommend it to anyone as I feel value for the money is great.

Our guide Paula was very knowledgeable and well versed in Split history. She made the tour very interesting. As our group was fairly large and there were many other tour groups around, at times it became difficult to hear Paula. Other groups had assisted hearing devices which perhaps would allow everyone to hear better. Still, the tour was very informative!

Krka National Park & Wine Tasting Excursion — A Perfect Day in Croatia

We had a wonderful excursion to Krka National Park and the charming town of Skradin. Beautiful national park not far from Split

Krka National Park is a must see while visiting Split. Our tour guide, Lovro, was fantastic and very funny too. The ride is a little over an hour on a comfortable bus. We first stopped in Skradin for swimming and grabbed lunch at Tabono (get the burrata salad). We then took a boat ride to the waterfalls which was scenic and peaceful. The hike inside the park was about 30 minutes and not strenuous (you can do it in flip flops) with gorgeous views all throughout. At the end of the hike there are restrooms and shops to buy drinks or a snack for the ride back to Split.
