Itinerary
Look for a person outside of Diocletian’s Palace holding an orange spoon to begin your tour of Split’s cuisine, set against the city’s historical scenery.
Follow your guide a very short distance to reach Split’s Green Market, where you’ll sample meats, cheeses, and “peka” bread, as you learn more about the city’s seasonal produce. With your appetite awoken, walk through the Split Old Town to a tavern that specializes in seafood and pasta, for more tasty dishes, this time accompanied by a local wine.
Make sure you have room for more food though as you continue to the city’s oldest pastry shop for gelato and some sweet treats made from old family recipes. It’s there not far from the Riva Promenade that you’ll say goodbye to your guide.

Natasha was great. Tons of history, food, and recommendations! A must do in Split but come hungry😉 Many photo ops. Recommend the 5 pm tour after the cruise folks are gone

Lucija did a great job! Being from Split she was very knowledgable and a special treat walking through the market with knowledge of the produce and natural healing uses. We enjoyed her local vendors and the food was plentiful. We did not leave hungry!
You eat till you burst with delicious local food! You also learn lots of interesting details and information about the Roman palace and city.
Great coverage of the old town accompanied by excellent food and fine wine. Natasha was a wonderful guide who spoke with great knowledge and love of her city. This was a very enjoyable tour which I would recommend to others just make sure you go with an appetite!

A September or October date might be more comfortable. Anna was a fine and funny guide. Food was delicious and much more than needed. Breakfast lightly if at all!
Natasha was very knowledgeable and engaging. There was too much food though. The second stop with wine and tapas should have been the first. And the third stop with the sausages could have been one small plate for four people after the large meal at the first stop.
Come very hungry! I had a wonderful tour with Natasha. She is very passionate about food and Croatian culture. Highly recommend for solo female travelers- she gave great Croatia travel trips and recommendations.
The food and history tour with Natasha was incredible!!! She was so kind, very knowledgeable about the city and cuisine, told funny jokes throughout the tour, and gave us a ton of recommendations for the rest of our trip. Definitely go hungry because it is a ton of food!
We loved the food tastings and wine. We do a food/gastro experience, walking tour everywhere we go. It's a great way to 'eat' your way through the local cuisine as well as get a feel for what is fresh and available. Natasa, was wonderful. She gave us the history of the Palace and old town as well as other Splint info. The only issue, which she had Zero control over, was the heat. Fortunately a couple of our stops were indoors.
Our guide was absolutely fabulous. She know the history which added so much to the trip. The food was GREAT and she was funny.

This was a fabulous food tour. Natasha was a sweet and bubbly guide, leading us through the diaclecian palace giving us bits of history as well as taking us to 3 various food stops. The food was very good, some of the best we’ve had in our week in Croatia.
It took us a minute to find our guide but once we connected everything was great! Our guide Ana was funny and entertaining as well as informative… would highly recommend this tour if you’d like a taste of local food and culture .
This tour was absolutely wonderful! Our guide, Lucy, was so personable and knowledgeable that it was a pleasure spending time with her. Between learning about the history of Split, we stopped four times to eat and the food was awesome and plentiful. Come hungry!
Wonderful food with some history added. Lots to eat. Natasha did an amazing job. I was the only one on the tour. So first off, thanks for not cancelling. We ate at three restaurants and then finished with gelato. I learned a lot about split and was very full by the end of the tour. I absolutely recommend.

This was an excellent tour and our guide took us through the history of Split. The restaurant choices were wonderful with lots of local food. We were stuffed and could barely eat the final scoop of gelato! Highly recommend!
