Very informative and humorous at the same time. Jocko was able to present thousands of years of history into digestible and memorable slices for a couple of jet lagged tourists. That's a big feat!

It was very informative and we highly recommend this tour. Our guide Josko knew a lot about the history of Romans and the town. Josko is wonderful! What an amazing tour! We learned so much important and fascinating information about Split, and Croatia. Josko was an expert on Diocletian history and his rule but his delivery kept us guessing and greatly entertained for the entire tour. I Highly recommend this tour.In fact, I felt like we were in a living history experience! Our family (3) appreciated the intimate and personalized private tour. The Diocletian Palace’ preservation was magnificent and historical references detailing the timelines impressions of all the rulers over 1700+ years was laid out by our tour guide like a symphony. We had a wonderful guide, Josko. He gave us great information and we learned a bunch (including something about our own country- lol). I felt he had personal interest in the places he took us and had an interesting set of experiences to show us what it has meant and means to be a Split resident. We left the walk with an understanding of Split and the historical buildings found in the area around the old town.

Be aware that this mostly takes place in the cellars below the palace (and the reason for that will come out during the tour) - it is not a "sightseeing" tour, but rather an historical tour. Josic, the guide, has every detail about everything that happened 1700 years ago and is excited to share it with you. He makes the stories fun and intriguing, and he keeps even my teenage kids entertained.

This tour was a great overview of the central aspects of Split, especially the palace. Josok (sp?) was knowledgeable and fun. His stories were engaging and brought the palace to life. We also appreciated his guidance on other points of interest to visit during our stay. We loved the tour!!

Joska was a wonderful guide! My entire family, including 12 and 14 year old, came away with a wealth of interesting history and I can’t believe it was only 2 hours! Joska was very flexible when the our original tour was on a rainy day and he graciously rescheduled. No one felt rushed during the tour and he took so many pictures for us (which is big as fellow moms know we are never in the pictures!). I would highly recommend this tour as you will walk away with a completely different perspective than when you first started.

My favourite tour in all of Croatia. Joško was fabulous, he took us through the history of old town and how it’s changed to today. Split is a breathtaking city, there is no better way to see it than having a friendly, funny and knowledgeable local tour guide like Joško. He even took us to a chocolate shop to treat my father and I to a Croatian sweet treat.

Our guide, Josko , did a terrific job of mixing history, storytelling and fun facts to give us a great introduction to Split and its history. The tour took in far more than we expected and was really flexible around what we wanted to see- he even made sure we were in the shade when he was explaining something. It was the best way we could have imagined to start our holiday in Split.

Probably the best guided tour I have enjoyed anywhere in the world, as an experienced traveler. Josko was charming, entertaining, extremely knowledgeable and professional, yet friendly and engaging. Fantastic detailed tour of the Diocletian palace, with excellent architectural details and explanations that made the grounds come alive. Followed by a locals only long stroll through the markets and old city. Definitely ask specifically for Josko, he is the best

Excellent tour! I cannot recommend this tour enough. The 3 hours whizzed by. This city is so unique and has so many layers of history. Our tour guide was superb and was able to convey a large amount of information at just the right level of detail. He also respected our wishes to wear a mask which can’t be easy when you are doing all the speaking:).
