Leo was amazing but there were so many tours coinciding with ours we had trouble hearing him. This company should invest in headsets so that everyone could hear the guide - who was very knowledgeable.

The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is there were no earbuds and it was a rather large group which made it a competitive situation to be near him to hear well.

My friends and I have had good luck with Viator in the past. Not today. My
Friend booked a tour weeks ago. After traveling almost an hour to Split to be there for 9 am tour, she received message they had to cancel. After getting that message, i booked a walking tour. We went to meeting point and no one showed up. No call. No message. Very disappointing.

Amazing tour! We learned so much that we never would have if we had explored on our own. As always, the walking tour provides a great foundation for a visit to a city.

This was a very good tour to give an insight into the Diocletian palace, our guide was very knowledgeable and funny would recommend at the beginning of your time in Split to get an idea of how to plan your time for the rest of your trip

The starting point is hard to find. The history is rich and complex. The tour guide was excellent. Prepare for up and down stairs of uneven steps.

The guide was tongue-in-cheek kind of a story teller, weaving historical details with anectodal stories, making history come alive.

Our tour guide was an older gentleman who was a history teacher. He was hard to understand. He was all over the place as far as what he talked about. I learned very little about Diocletian and not nearly enough about the palace. At 2 1/2 hrs in I told him I had to leave and I left our group. He spent most of the time talking about American politics and other things not associated with what we were there for. He was so unfocused it made it not enjoyable. I paid $80 because I was by myself. It’s definitely not worth that.

Anton was the best guide i have ever had! He was incredibly enthusiastic, wise, and fun to walk the palace with. I learned so much with him and it was an absolute pleasure to have him be the one to show us everything. He is one of the best gems of Croatia

The tour guide is professional storyteller. He lead us into the history. But my tour time was been informed of changing time 24 hours before. And by the time the palace was fulled of people. They should prepare headphones for us.

Our tour guide was a history teacher who was knowledgeable. There were only 4 in our group which was great. However, he was very soft spoken and English was his second language so it could be hard to understand him. We may have understood 1/3 of what he said. But I would still recommend with another tour guide.

We had a really enjoyable guided tour of the city of Split. Our guide was a real expert and very knowledgeable - and helped us get a really great feel for the palace at the heart of the city. This is rated 4 stars rather than five as they lost our booking and had to draft in a guide at the last minute - delaying the start by 20 minutes...
