This is much more than a history tour. Mario was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny, and told us not only the history of Split but many other interesting anecdotes.
A must if you visit Split.

It hits all the sights, and the guide gives you all the context and historical anecdotes and tidbits to increase your understanding and appreciation. We actually had a substitute guide, Elena, and she was terrific -- not only all the crucial stories, but witty and engaging.

Mario was unfortunately not available for this tour but had set us up with one of his colleagues Elena who was an incredible tour guide. She was informative, funny, and a true local that knew the history and highlights of Split! We had a great time on our walking tour with Elena and she was very thoughtful in finding shade for us during a hot summer day

Excellent tour with lots of great information about the history, culture and heritage of the region. Learnt quite a bit and Mario kept the entire tour quite engaging. Worth the 2+ hours. This tour is a great intro to the country and the city. His passion for his country and the subject is quite evident in his depth of knowledge on a range of topics spanning sports, history, food and wine.

Mario our tour guide was excellent. The tour was very informative and well paced. He continually work to find shaded locations as it was a very hot day. We covered the old fort and a portion of the new city. At the end he provided us a list of locations to visit, restaurants to consider and more. Highly recommended to help you learn a lot about this historical location in a short period of time. Thank you Mario!
