You will find yourself wishing the tour was 2 or 3 times longer! Daniela is a fountainhead of knowledge, but most importantly, she knows how to put her knowledge into context and relevance for her audience. She is proud of this region's history and that pride comes across in her attention to detail. Our tour time flew by, such is the level of her skill in explaination and legion telling!

We would highly recommend a tour with Daniela! She was super informative, sweet and fun. The day we had our tour scheduled was extremely hot and she messaged us the night before to see if we wanted to move the tour earlier in the day to escape some of the heat. It was so thoughtful of her! She even pivoted the tour halfway through for a gelato stop. We learned so much about the castle, Split and Croatia! We even took her restaurant recommendations - which were a hit. We would love to have another tour with her in the future!!

We just completed Daniela’s Walking Tour of Diocletian’s Palace and the Old Town today, and it was hands-down one of the best guided tours we’ve ever experienced!

We had an absolutely fantastic walking tour in Split with Daniela! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the history of the city come alive in such a fun and interesting way. The tour was the perfect mix of education, storytelling, and humor, and we learned so much about Split’s history, culture, and hidden gems that we never would have discovered on our own.
The pace was great, and our guide was friendly, enthusiastic, and happy to answer questions throughout the tour. It was pouring rain throughout the tour, but she didn’t miss a beat, and it did not damp in her enthusiasm for the city. It truly felt like exploring the city with a passionate local friend. We left with a much deeper appreciation for Split and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. One of the highlights of our trip!

Goodness sakes, this was one of the best tours my husband and I have ever taken. Not only was Diocletian's Palace (aka retirement home!) amazing, but most especially our guide Daniela was fabulous. Daniela's helpful historical overviews, use of dioramas to orient us, and full on tour of the breathtaking interior was interesting, informative, clear and concise. Her knowledge, love for the city and palace, as well as teaching ability were perfection. Wish all city guides were so gifted!!!

Daniela was an amazing guide for a walking tour of Diocletian's Palace and Spilt. She had a wealth of knowledge to share about her hometown- clearly you could feel the love of her town through the joy in giving us this tour. There was 4 of us in our group- perfect size. Our tour was only supposed to be 2 hours, but it ended up being a little bit longer. It was a short excursion, but perfect given, it was a cruise port day. If I have the chance to come bak to Split, I'd sign up for another tour with Daniela in a heartbeat and you should too!

Daniela took my friend and I on a tour all over Old Town Split. When my friend had to abandon the tour 15 minutes in due to back pains, Daniela expressed deep concern about her well-being. After I reassured Daniela that my friend would be fine and just needed to rest, we continued the tour. Daniela gave me her undivided attention. Even though the tour was supposed to last only 2 hours, we went over time as Daniela patiently and competently answered all my questions. She’s armed with so much historical facts and interesting anecdotes about Split’s chronicled past. Her nationalistic pride shone through as she shared Split’s complex history. I chose this tour based on the reviews here on Viator and I made the right decision to have Daniela take me on this walking tour. She is dynamic, engaging and very fluent in Croatia’s history. Her insights and observations have fueled my curiosity in learning more about Croatian culture and customs.
